Help Boin game

Hi,
I´m having problems playing Boin. Before the program starts I get the following error:

My system is already set to Japanese and have tried using applocale.
Any suggestions?

System specs:
Windows 7 Home Basic 32 bits
Microsoft Security Essentials as AV
PowerIso for mounting files (.iso, .mdf)
imgBurn for Cdburning
VLC PLayer for multimedia

Did you set everything to Japanese on your computer/laptop? Even the location?

Regional Location set to Japan

Non Unicode Programs: Japanese

Installed keyboard languages: Japanese,Spanish and English

Time and date: English (not sure if relevant)

I recommend trying to put all these to Japanese, restarting your computer, and right-click to 'run as administrator'.

Format, Location, Display Language, System Locale, and Time Zone.

If it doesn't work after restarting, then I'll download it myself to see the error.

I did as you mentioned, I also re/installed the game. It now runs smoothly.
