I feel like I haven't even seen a kinetic otome game before... though it's an interesting concept. I'll have to say, I played those in other genres and I generally really liked them. It's more akin to reading an interactive book in the physical sense. On one hand, the industry has really evolved to prioritize choice and multiple routes/scenarios which can be fun, but I feel like for me it often produces overwhelm and I feel like I'm 'missing out' on something unless I see all that there is to see. (╥﹏╥)
But then again, maybe if you're producing a game with a linear story, you can devote more time to make sure that the story itself is better as opposed to stretching yourself too thin to flesh out different endings/consequences. ( •̀⤙•́ )
