H-codes and where do they go?

Hello, there! I'm extremely new and will be setting up textractor for visual novel translation and needed some help. : In some of the games I've downloaded, the posters have included hook codes. I would like to know where I'm supposed to put the h-code? Would it be a file in the game files somewhere? I think textractor is my best bet for now because my laptop doesn't want to run vnr. Thanks again for any help!

You run the visual novel, then attach textractor to it, click on add hook in textractor, paste it inside there and click ok.

Theres also Sugoi Translator for translating visual novels, you can combine this with textractor.
