games that aren't exactly "otome" but that you still really like?

I really love Rune Factory games, and for romancing male characters I would recommend Rune Factory 4 most of all! Lots of fun characters, and where RF4 shines the most within the series is the sheer amount of unique dialogue available with each character. That makes it much more satisfying to visit your favorites each day because you can often see all-new lines from them.

I'm a huge Final Fantasy nerd so I really love FFXIV. It's not a game for everybody because it's a MMO but it easily has my favorite story of all time. There's no 'canon' romance in the game but trust me when I say there's so many NPCs you can easily imagine your character with LOL In fact a lot of people in the community do ship their characters with the NPCs in the game or with another player's character, it's very fun! It actually got me interested in picking up writing as a new hobby/skill to learn.

aboslutely Baldur's gate 3 <3 (❤️´艸`❤️)
it can be count as eroge and otoge at the sametime for me, perfect combination hehe(´▽`ʃ♡ƪ)

I recently played Kamokate(冠を持つ神の手), and I really enjoyed it!
It was fun to see how the characters behaved differently depending on the choices I made.
I'd like to recommend this game too!!

Kamokate (冠を持つ神の手) recently got a remake on Steam! I hope more people get to discover this amazing game!

I've played every series of Story of Seasons.
I really love life simulation games! I especially enjoy things like farming and selling the things I grow.

I also love talking to my favorite characters every day and raising their affection level. It's so much fun when that leads to special romance events with them!

Seishun Hajimemashita!, though I feel like it could at least partly count as an otomege since it has both a female and a male protagonist, each with their own sets of love interests. Also BG3, Ensemble Stars, and 18TRIP!

Farming sims with romance candidates! Especially Stardew Valley. It's already super fun on its own, but with the help of mods, I love it even more! Mods really take the romance and character interactions to the next level.
