games that aren't exactly "otome" but that you still really like?

I absolutely love games that combine daily life and romance, like *Harvest Moon*, *Rune Factory*, and *The Sims*!
I like RPGs too, but I haven't been able to play them much lately.

《Your Turn To Die -Death Game By Majority-》《Buy a Croquette!》and《time princess》.The first two games aren't otome games, but the way the characters love the MC is really touching.I'm not sure if "Time Princess" is an otome game.Maybe it could also be considered an otome game from a storyline perspective?I really love the stories and plots inside it more than I like its clothes.

Adding to the RPG pile, Owlcat Games actually does romance really well! I was obsessed with Daeran in Pathfinder: Wotr.
Best boy detected! Owlcat knows how to write their romances, and Daeran's story is on par with the best examples in otome games. Every RPG from them has great writing, can't wait for a new game and to romance the hell out of it 😊

Both Hades and im currently playing RF: Guardians of Azuma, i really like the romancing characters aspect of them, and of course i find the characters attractive

I'm into RPGs too, as mentioned by others in the thread lol

Stuff like BioWare games (mostly Dragon Age), Atelier series, P3P, or any JRPG with a large bishounen cast (I grew up on Final Fantasy after all! I had pictures of Sephiroth glued on my notebooks in middle school, haha), as well as farming sims like Harvest Moon, Rune Factory or Stardew Valley. A lot of joseimuke rhythm games as well (HypMic and EnStars), and mobile joseimuke overall. Basically any games that cater to female audiences, games with dating mechanics, or JRPGs ;b but I can get some enjoyment out of stuff like VTM Bloodlines too, haha

I've loved Dragon Age for a good time, was very disappointed in Veilguard... I also enjoyed Mass Effect.

BG3 was my top played game 2 years in a row. I had a problem when that game came out. Non stop playing all hours of the day.
I've tried to get into Divinity 2 but it's a little harder to get into imo
Hahaha, I totally get you, BG3 is seriously addictive; I remember pulling all-nighters playing it! My older brother is playing Divinity 2 and says it's even better than BG3, so I was thinking of giving it a try, though he did warn me it's a lot harder than BG3 XD

Hahah yep no social life when that game came out.

See I've tried it and I got stuck cause I was like ummm what? -_- I was trying to use my knowledge of RPG's and that didn't work so I'm going to play it on easy and enjoy it then getting frustrated.

any game can feel romance flavored if you're delusional enough (jk)

like many here, i loved p3p, harvest moon/story of seasons (i'm playing mistria too! marriage update next month!!), fe13... gnosia feels a bit romantic sometimes too ngl >_< even if it's just a few lines of dialogue... i don't play a lot of amare but i'm anxiously waiting for updates/full releases of mirawakestudios' games which i have recommended a LOT on here lmfao i just love her characters

Fate/Grand Order!
I really like Takasugi Shinsaku, and his Valentine's story was so sweet that it almost made me feel like I was playing an Otome game!

Recently played the arcadia fallen series, I really enjoyed it, especially the 2nd game! The cast is so great, I ended up loving everyone, and the lore is so rich and cool. Although there is barely any romance and the endings are just not good, I still liked it.

On another branch, Dragon Age, BG3, Fire Emblem. I just love a good story.

I'm really into text-based IFs, ESPECIALLY the Fallen Hero series. The romances in that game are SOOO good and I love the story so far. I also enjoy RPGs like P3P, Dragon Age/Mass Effect, BG3, etc lol

Love the farming games like Story of Season/Harvest Moon, Fields of Mistria, Roots of Pacha. Also Rune Factory, Mass Effect, and Dragon Age series. I really enjoy playing mobile visual novel games too like Romance Club and Seven Hearts Stories, they are kind of like the Choices app except I personally think the choices affect the story a lot more.

Like most people here, I really enjoy games from Atlus, Fire Emblem, Story of Seasons, and Princess Maker (and games inspired by them—I play a LOT of titles in that genre). Then there's Avalon Code—someone mentioned it here—which is adorable; who knows, maybe one day it'll get a port. Fields of Mistria is another one that fits the topic. I'm also passionate about investigative visual novels: Zero Escape, Ace Attorney, Trauma Center (has anyone here played it? It's not an investigation, but it's really fun.), Corpse Party, Death Mark, Lux Pain, and Professor Layton. I really love these styles of games.

I really like farming sim games with romance options like stardew valley and fields of mistria!

Legend of Zelda and the pokemon black/white also holds a place in my heart because of nostalgia.

(Noting down what games everyone else mentioned to check them out 📝😆)
