Full romance overdrive or slow burn?

I prefer slow burn, when is instant love, it feels kinda too "easy" and missing it development.

I like either but it needs to fit the setting and make sense contextually. There are characters that benefit from an early infatuation with the heroine if that's the theme of their romantic route. For others a more gradual, slower pace is fitting.

I have to say that I really dislike when the romance elements is incredibly weak in otome games, even in dark settings I want the "love" aspect to still shine through. An "earlier" romance would maybe offset that experience for me so maybe I'm more team "full romance"

Both tbh. I want enough buildup to get invested in the male leads, but I don't want the romance dragged out forever either.

Slow burn. Always. Bonus points for enemies-to-lovers.
Maybe it's because I've been a fan of Jane Austen for years, especially Pride and Prejudice (even though I don't really like romance novels and hardly ever read them).
Of course, everything within reason. I liked Tokimeki Memorial Girl's Side, but seriously, you date a guy for like 3 years just to FINALLY get a short kissing scene at the end. That's too slow even for me ;).

The whole idea of watching a relationship develop slowly between characters.
When the characters get to know each other, spend time together, and gradually start to feel something... There's nothing better than watching a spark slowly turn into a flame.

I've never encountered a game with a plot like this before, but I've always wanted to play an otome game where love blossoms from love at first sight, and the relationship progresses rapidly with each date. There are manga and novels like that, but games often build relationships slowly before romance blossoms, so I'm hoping a new game like this will be released in the future.

I love the feeling of intense passion in stories, so I'd say I lean toward faster pacing.
I can absolutely enjoy very slow, step-by-step narratives as well. I read manga chapter by chapter.
However, when things move quickly in romance, it immediately grabs my interest. A vivid, dynamic presentation really works for me.

It doesn't necessarily have to be a romance itself, but it's important to me that the chemistry between the characters clicks right away. The pacing can slow down later - that's actually great - but that initial spark of interest between them matters most.

Maybe that's why I'm especially drawn to demons - they usually want to devour the main character right away, and only afterward do their feelings grow deeper, evolving from that original instinct
