Who understands the suffering of wanted to play your favorite LI route but that´s the blocked route and is the LAST ONE TO PLAY...
I´m in a love / hate situation with a game because i want to finish my fav LI route but i dont have any interest with other LI storyline ARGHHHH.
So, i kinda paused and played in a while... (and months has passed).

And i dont want to skip the dialogues because EVERYTHING IS RELATED...

IT IS!!! ARUGGGG i started two days ago a new game just for a character because i like his cgs and i felt he is my type , i played prologue and he was totally my type but turned out he's the LOCKED route and i need to play all routes so i can start his route 🫠 I'm still at first route, I'm having fun but it's so long 😂🤧

Me rn with Mistonia's Hope lmao my favs are apparently both locked... I'm in pain...

Isn't that kind of a good thing in a way? I like to leave favs for last, so it's kind of a pain when my favs aren't locked routes, then I don't have motivation to finish the locked routes😂

This was me when playing Olympia Soiree and its sequel Catharsis.

It was especially worse in Catharsis because it really felt like the writer made this entire sequel just for Akaza. They gave his route everything while doing the bare minimum for the other 5 LIs. As an Akaza girlie, I know I shouldn't complain, but... forcing myself through the first 5 routes was such a slog.

At least in the first game, there was new lore to explore in each route. In Catharsis, all 5 routes before Akaza had pretty much the same conflict + villain.

It never occurred to me, lol. But hey, try to look at it from a positive angle! Think of your favorite LI with the locked route as a treat you'll receive after spending so much time away from it, just like when you're a kid and you want to eat a certain dessert but your mom says you can only eat it after you finish your meal. My mom used to do that to me when I was a kid and wanted jelly beans, and I feel like the jelly beans tasted better after I'd waited to finally have them!

I think it depends on each playing style? some people likes to unlock all the CGs meanwhile some of them only play their interested route hahaha
But i got your point, it's like leaving your fav dessert at the end, and some how, this makes the game more entertaining (?

Olympia Soiree is on my pending to play list HAHAHA, so i will look back to this comment after playing it XD Thank you for the spoiler reminder

It really is... Sure it's not a bad thing I do get the point BUT I REALLY HATE IT WHEN I DISLIKE ONE OF THE LI AND I STILL HAVE TO READ THE ROUTE 😭😭😭😭

This is why I've still never unlocked Lupin's route in Code:Realize after all these years lol
I'm sorry Impey I'm just not feeling it

The worst! nowadays everything is so crazy and I don't have the time or patience to play through all the routes just to get to the one I'm interested in. I usually force skip until the good parts if there are any, if not skip 90% of the route(s).

I just force skip too, sometimes it's not worth forcing myself to read a route with LI i don't like. If is lore importance, I just go and read a review with a spoiler xD

hmm i understand the writers intention to make the player experience the story in a specific way, to not unveil certain plot points until later or make you experience the same events with different viewpoints.. but i think if the story doesn't feel engaging enough for you to continue despite not being too invested in the guy then it's a bit of a problem :( i get that this format doesn't always work, it can be repetitive. but i also see how it can be rewarding later?

i'm not exactly against it myself but i'd feel bad skipping so i push myself through Or i end up pausing the game indefinitely </3

For me it depends -- if its in a story like Even if tempest? I like the forced route, as it allows a cohesive narrative for the MC's growth.

personally, i have a huge problem with getting tired when i reach the final route if i'm not enjoying the game that much 😭

that happened with me playing cxm 💔 maybe one someday i'll finally play yanagi's route...

honestly, I'd just skip them if I'm not interested at all. there are so many good games/LIs out there and so little time to play them all, so why force yourself do something you don't enjoy

Usually, I like it. Many times I find myself checking if there's a recommended route order and such, so that's one less thing to worry about.
Then again I tend to do all routes, so I can see how it can be frustrating if you are playing just for one.

I guess I'm lucky in that the guys who are trapped behind blocked routes are generally not ones I care too much about playing! But yes, there are many men who I have not played the route of because of it.

This is why I've still never unlocked Lupin's route in Code:Realize after all these years lol

Same! Not with Impey, but Saint-Germain. One day I will finish Code: Realize. I'm so sorry Lupin, because you actually seem like somewhat of a cool dude.

i feel for you. it reminds me how i suffered the same way two times with blvns from holicworks. now it stops me because i really want to reread my favorite character's route but it's the last one... and the game progress is a lost data.
eternal suffering with taishou mebiusline and tokyo satsujinki 🥀

I totally get you! More pften than not the ones who are the "forced" route is not a fave of mine so it really becomes tedious to get through the route. I just always think of the route after and how it'll all be worth it in the end plot wise

A while ago, I wasted time trying to get into a character's route, only to realize the game had an enforced route order and I hadn't unlocked that route yet. It was very annoying. ヽ(≧□≦)ノ In my case, I don't mind playing other characters' routes first since I'm always interested in playing every character's route anyway. The problem for me is when the game makes me think I'm already on a character's route by showing romantic moments and CGs with them (without me realizing it's actually locked), and then later doesn't let me continue it.
