I like to start all of my otome games by going in blind. Basically I play through the routes of an LI making all the choices I think are 'right', and then once I receive an ending in a route for an LI, I then use a guide to pick up all the other endings. But doing it this way, I don't generally get the good ends. I could probably count on one hand how many good ends I've gotten for an LI by going about this way! Though of course there are often many bad ends in these games, so by probability I guess it makes sense I get the bad ones more (or maybe I just suck at picking the right options, lol). So, I was wondering, if you also use this method, how often are you getting a good end on your first try compared to a bad end? Are you mainly like me, where you get bad ends more often, do you get a mixture of both, or are you really good at getting good ends?

My most recent LI I've gotten a good end for blind was probably Scarecrow from Bustafellows (the first one). It's been... awhile.

I go blind all the way! But for me, I'm a self-inserter. I play through each route making choices (I think) I would make if I were in that position. This usually leads to 'bad endings' for the first play throughs though. 😅 After the first play i try to complete the routes making choices based on the LI background. It sometimes take a few tries to get all the endings ...

I go in blind as well. The only thing I usually check before starting a game is if there's a recommended route order. I usually get the good ending on my first try, especially if the game has a love catch or something that indicates to me that the affection has gone up. The only time I struggle getting the good ending first try is if there is no indicator telling me whether I made the right choice or not. What I do in those situations is I would first pick the choice that sounds right and then depending on the response/outcome I get, I'd reload the save file and pick the other choice to see if that leads to a better response/outcome. After doing that, I stick with the one that sounds better and continue on lol. I think in these situations I'm usually 50/50 in getting the happy ending first try haha and if I'm still stuck after doing all that, I look up a guide.

Nowadays I only play the first route blind, and I try to get bad endings first! Since I purposefully go for them, I'm not sure how hard good endings would be haha
I prefer saving the good ending for last. After the first route I go for a guide to help me complete the game a bit faster, I usually play two or three VNs at a time.

I play blind from the start untill the end and almost always get a bad ending! It even surprises me when I get a good ending. When that happens, I come to the conclusion that Li and I share the same braincell, lol. When I really, really like a Li character, I try to get all their bad endings first because I want to see everything about them, but if I get a happy ending on the first try (which rarely happens), I don't bother getting the bad ending because the bad ending will be the last memory I have. Lately, I was playing Café Enchanté and felt like a pro at good endings, then I switched for a moment to Taisho x Alice and it was one bad ending after another (except for Cinderella, I think we were made for each other!). My most recent bad ending was just yesterday on Kaguya's route, the first one you can get on his route. I was holding my Switch with a blank look on my face because the bad ending made absolutely no sense, but it was so funny that it became one of my favorites lol. But on the other hand, this game is too weird, I feel like the protagonist isn't quite right in the head like the other Lis in this game, and the right choices usually don't make sense XD it seems more like instead of being Alice she's the Mad Hatter, but I'm really enjoying the game despite everything.

I always play blind at first but I usually end up getting whatever bad ending(s) there are ;_;

I play blind for as long as I can (until I start getting lost in the choices). I do it bc like to prolong my surprise at what endings I'll get for as long as I can. My ratio is a mix but feels like 70% bad endings vs 30% good ones. Its a little unfortunate bc the first playthough sticks with me the most regardless of the ending 😅

I always play blind for my first route and I often get the bad endings too T_T Although there are lucky days where I get the good endings first too! But maybe because I have the love catch on......

I usually pick my answers based on what i would do in the specific situation when I play blind, so it usually depends on if that would be compatible with the answers for the good ending or bad ending. I have gotten good endings first try just as I have gotten bad or normal endings too.

I'd usually go blind playthrough if I'm playing it for the first time! picking choices that is closest to my reactions if I were in the situations but most of the time it led me to bad endings (🥲) and then for second or third times I'd open a guide to complete all the endings.

Going in blind but expecting a bad ending because, just like in real life, my decision making skills are... nonexistent 🫩

I always do the first route playthrought blind, because I try to avoid spoilers to the max I usually do a bit of research on which route is recomended to do first to avoid spoilers for the other routes. I find that even the playtroughts that are quite straightfoward end up "spoiling" the story, especially if the character has a twist. But yes... it usually ends up with me getting a Bad or Normal ending.
