I don't use a guide for the first playthrough usually unless it starts to make me incredibly anxious. Which is weird, because that's usually my favorite type of genre. But sometimes I just need that little bit of structure to make me feel.. secure? I dunno, I feel like it sounds so weird

. One time, I finished a route and had gotten the bad end, and it literally kept me up for the rest of the night lol. Since guides are more available now, I use them to help me with challenging games where I have to solve puzzles (or the bad end is really atrocious and I want to avoid it), but on the first playthrough, I prefer going in blind. Also, my first Otome games were the ones you can get on the App Store, so I didn't have a save feature, which made it even more upsetting when I got a bad end and had to restart!
