First otome game?

you just reminded me, i played something like that too at the exact same time
it was a series of fun games made for free by an artist called pacthesis i think? i remember finding them on DeviantArt =v=
her games had a fun concept i enjoyed and that was using codes or finding secrets to get rich and super powers
Oh yes I found out it was by Pacthesis too!! I just found them on Twitter. My favorite one and the one I was referring to is the Future-Past one, the one where you can unlock a secret yuri route by playing certain piano notes. Their game's mechanics and secrets were so interesting.

I think it was Obey me 🤔🤔 ? I didn't know it was an otome game though, I was too focused on getting cards of pretty men

It was Amnesia. I still remember how repulsed I was during Ikki's route by his fangirls; Kent remains one of my favorites to this day.

I don't really remember which one I first played but there's one that I vividly remember that I use to play with my sister which is Shall we Date: Angels or Devils. I dont remember the plot but I know that it was intriguing for the tween brain lol.

Destined to love. From Cybird, was looking for a new time killing game on my phone then I saw a beautiful graphic of the game, so I jumped in and try, though I was not stick to it for too long and skipped it for another one, " Oz+ Shall we date". Oh my silly days

My first otome game was Ikemen Sengoku! ♡ I still have a soft spot for it since it was the game that introduced me to the otome world (˶ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶)

Amnesia: Memories when it got released on Steam in 2015. it became the first steam game I ever bought and having just turned 16 at the time I managed to get away by asking my dad for it as a gift xD

I played it without a guide and then got distracted by other things after finishing the first playthrough. I should probably take some time and go through it properly with a guide haha

If I may place Gakuen Alice in the otome game category, then this would be the first one. If not, then it's Hakuouki.
I got into the former so much that I watched the anime first and then read the manga, before discovering the game.
(Hakuouki)I don't remember what prompted me to start, but I learned about otome games and came across this one after finding a good review through a search.

I don't know exactly when or how I found it but I remember playing a game called liar! Uncover the truth. I really liked it but I don't think I ever finished it bc I didn't have enough points/passes/diamonds?? or whatever it was that let you pick the correct choices. I forgot about it and recently found out that it doesn't exist anymore. I'm kinda sad I will never know how it ends, I was really invested at the time
I also remember playing kisses and curses, and another one which I don't remember the name but I think the love interests were supposed to be the zodiac signs

My first otome game was Sh[in]e. I don't remember much of the story, only a small part, since there were no otome games in my language and they were only in Japanese. So, after searching a lot, I found a website that made patches for otome games in my language, so I decided to play Sh[in]e among them. The only thing I remember is the story of the girl who sells matches in winter and that the protagonist wakes up and next to her is Sol (the only Li). Although I don't remember it well, I have a lot of affection for it because it was my first otome game.
