Hey people. I gave my 2TB external hardrive to a friend with a washed up PC (and not much knowledge of computers). When I got it back, I see that a few folders were moved to a separate folder and were locked. So I downloaded something called take ownership and used it on the entire harddrive. Not that it did much good. sure I can access the folders, but I can't open the files as media files go like "file not found" and pictures show that I don't have permission to access them. Now there are 4400+ files which are locked....

I found out how to unlock them (add "everyone" to security settings) but it only works for single files.
Anyone know how to apply the everyone setting to multiple files?

Any and all help will be VERY greatly appreciated.

A very important question.

Do you want the files or not? If you do not want the files, you just need to press the Shift+Del button, then click 'Yes' to the question that follows.

If you want those files, another question. What Operating System are you using? If you are using Linux-based OS, chmod is very helpful.
