Extracting game data file

how do i extract the data file of Dieselmine, because i used crass and it says the xp3 file is protected...
and what about the .dat file like frm games like ANIM, how do i extract files from it?

For KrKr2 game (xp3) I'd say just use xp3viewer...I can provide if you are interested.
