Everyone's favorite otome game/recommendations?

If you want something that can get tragic Even if Tempest for sure! it's my favorite otome game of all time. Its not perfect but overall its still an experience I would gladly recommend to anyone, especially those new to otome games! If you want something more light hearted I would say Cupid Parasite although it does get a bit crazy sometimes LOL but it's still a very entertaining game start to finish. Are there any specific genres or themes you're into?

for unique story/settings, i highly rec code: realize and olympia soiree! if you want something a bit more lighthearted, i had a lot of fun playing cupid parasite & variable barricade ☺️

if you can handle really dark & tragic themes, pls play virche evermore 🫣

I recommend Ayakashi Gohan~ it's lovely and heartwarming. The protagonist only one, but she has two personality depends on the path you choose.

Re:Birthday Song was one of the first otome games I played, and it's also one of my favorites! It's quite short, so not too intimidating, and the story is easy to digest without sacrificing any of the emotional beats. I also have to mention my two all-time favorites, Blackish House and Jack Jeanne, though they're both much longer and more packed, but I think the experience is definitely worth it ₍ᐢ.ˬ.ᐢ₎♡~

If you want fluffy light SoL, I suggest HanaKare (drama CD original). If you're fine with more brute/angst/deeper/darker storyline/theme then UN:LOGICAL and Collar x Malice is definitely worth it.

I would recommend to start with the classic code realize series. if you like focus on the romance go for olympia soiree. If you want some heartache go for hakuoki, if you want adventure go for bustafellows, for comedy cupid parasite. For western otome games i like Ebon light.

I recommend Piofiore Fated Memories, which is a very fun game with exquisite art style! Playing this game makes me feel full of happiness, with thrilling and exciting plot that is not boring. I think the experience is still very good, you can give it a try~

*Hakuoki* is a masterpiece of the *otome* game genre, frequently cited as a flagship title for the popular brand "Otomate."
The story, which follows the lives of the Shinsengumi, is deeply moving and can be enjoyed even without prior knowledge of history.

*Hiiro no Kakera* is another acclaimed *otome* game often recognized as a representative title from "Otomate."
It is a work that blends low fantasy with Japanese-style fantasy elements, featuring a narrative that meticulously portrays themes of romance and bonds.

I always recommend Love Pretend to anyone new to the genre; it's not overly complicated or too heavy. Cupid Parasite—which others here have also recommended—is a great starting point, and I'd personally recommend Sympathy Kiss as well.
