1. Download the game.

2. Install or Extract the game as necessary.
3. Make sure the game works as intended before applying the patch. Use a locale emulator or change the system locale to Japanese, Japan.
4. Download the patch from this thread or Mediafire.
5. Extract the contents of the patch using WinRAR or 7-Zip.
6. Open the game folder that has "oyakolesson.exe"
7. Create a new folder called "backups"
8. Download and extract the original Arc01.dat and Arc04.dat files into that backups folder, the original scenario files are attached to this post
9. copy the patch files, Arc01.dat and Arc04.dat, from one of the patch folders that are next to this readme.txt into the game directory, overwriting if necessary, see Translation Patch Notes for their descriptions
10. Run the game with Japanese locale enabled or a Japanese locale emulator
    6. Update the font, Settings -> System -> 2nd tab テキス卜 -> Kanji font -> MS Gothic->OK
    
11. Play using a locale emulator or change the system locale to Japanese, Japan. The game may crash if not using a Japanese, Japan locale.

Available Patches

1. AI MTL - this is an unedited ai mtl patch for the full game, most routes tested
2. dark translations - this is the original heavily localized and incomplete fan patch, it only includes Arc04.dat, it must be used with the original Japanese Arc01.dat
3. dark translations + AI MTL - this contains most of the translated text from dark translations, the last parts that they did not fully translate are AI translated instead, dark translations did not implement word wrapping, the occasional line in their translation is still untranslated, this patch is provided 'as-is', nami route tested

Notes

• tested working on Windows 7 with Japan locale emulator, ymmv on newer OS or without Japan locale
• in the patches that contain the ai mtl, the first scene was human edited
• due to how this game handles indexing and that the different patches require different index files, Arc01.dat, saves are not compatible between different translation patches, the game may crash/freeze if you do not start a new save file when applying or swapping translation patches
• When switching between different patches. It's safer to undo the patch first, and then apply the new one to make sure the correct Arc01.dat is being used

• Open the game folder that has "oyakolesson.exe"
• Open the backups folder
• Copy backups/Arc01.dat and backups/Arc04.dat to the game folder
