Earphones or headphones for Otome CDs? 🎧

i make a canyon with my pillows so the headphone fits between them 😭

Ohhh, I see!! 😂😂😂 I never would have thought of making a canyon with my pillows! I'm genuinely blown away right now—this is such an eye-opener that I feel like dozens of scales have fallen from my eyes!!! 😭✨

Earphones. Others doesnt feel comfortable and I dont like sound of others options. The experience it provides with earphones is incomparably superior to other options.

Oh I see, I feel like earphones give you a more immersive experience, while headphones make the sound feel like it's spreading out around your ears.

It was really interesting and helpful hearing everyone's different opinions. Thank you so much! 😊🎧

I've always used only earphones when listening to otome CDs! That's because I usually listen to them before going to sleep. I never even thought about listening with headphones, but I think that's a really great idea!!

I've been using wired IEMs mainly just because I heard the sound resolution is better on them.
It's pretty nice for picking up every tiny breath and whisper ! Plus, no battery anxiety is definitely a win.

Even when gaming, I hate having stuff on my ears, so I usually stick to speakers. But whenever *those* scenes show up, I panic-mute, lower the volume, or hunt for my earphones. On a side note, I love putting on the Shinigami to Shoujo Reading CD on low when I go to bed.

Earphones all the way for me! 🎧
Since most of my listening happens in bed while winding down or falling asleep, headphones are just too bulky when lying on a pillow (especially for side-sleeping). Earphones give that close, direct binaural audio feel that makes the dummy head microphone positioning sound so much more intimate.
For my actual setup, I use the Sony WI-C310.
I really recommend them if you're looking for a comfortable, budget-friendly option for Otome CDs. A few reasons why they work so well for situation CDs:
• The earbud tips are small and lightweight enough that they don't dig painfully into your ears when resting your head against a pillow.
• Sony's audio tuning works great for voice-centric tracks. The whispers, breathwork, and close-up binaural effects come through really crisp without sounding harsh or muddy.
• They easily last through long listening sessions and overnight sleep tracks without dying mid-audio.

I wear glasses so most of the headphones I wear tend to end up hurting lol. So I prefer earphones and earbuds.

When I'm awake during the day, I usually listen with headphones. I prefer them because the sound isolation and sense of spatial depth make the experience feel more immersive.
Before going to bed, I often use earphones so I can listen while lying down.
I'm curious about earphones designed for falling asleep. I wonder if they really make a noticeable difference.

Honestly, I don't know much about headphones 😂. I just use the usual ones I use for listening to music. Since I usually listen to CDs before going to sleep, they can be a little uncomfortable sometimes, but I make it work lol. 😭

I actually spend quite a lot of time doing various hobbies at my desk during the day. When I listen to Otome CDs as background audio while I'm working on something, I sometimes choose headphones depending on my mood, so I think it might be nice to have them as an option.

But I still prefer listening with earphones too, haha! 😂🎧

I completely agree!! ❤️ Wired earphones are still really useful, especially since you don't have to worry about charging them, even though wireless ones are so popular nowadays.

I really want a pair with a good seal for that fully immersive feeling, but the cable on a pair of earphones I bought before had such terrible microphonics that I ended up never using them again. 😂

How about the ones you use? Do you get much cable noise when the wire rubs against something?

I couldn't help but smile imagining you frantically lowering the volume and searching for your earphones, haha! 😂

I wonder why having someone's voice nearby while we sleep makes it so much easier to sleep so deeply. There's just something really comforting about it. 🥰

I didn't know about that title before, but I saw that a voice actor I'm familiar with is in it, so now I'm really interested! I'll definitely give it a listen when I get the chance. ^^

Thank you for recommending those earphones! 😊

I use wired Panasonic earphones myself, but looking at everyone's comments, it seems like Sony gets a lot of praise!

I've also been a little worried about wireless earphones getting lost somewhere while I'm asleep, so having a wired pair like this seems like a good way to avoid that problem too. 😂

Actually, I've never tried Sony earphones before, so I think I might give these a try! Thank you again for the recommendation! 🥰🎧

You really do end up using earphones when you're going to sleep, don't you! 😂 I pretty much use mine the same way you do too. ^^

I wear glasses too, so I totally know what you mean!! 😂 The compatibility between headphones and glasses really does make a difference, doesn't it…!

When it comes to earphones specifically designed for sleeping, final seems to be really popular, doesn't it? I've never tried them myself, but if I come across a store that has a demo pair available, I'd love to give them a try!

わたしも大体あなたと同じ使い分けをしています^^
寝ホン特化といえばfinal製が人気高いですよね! 使ったことはないんですが、売り場にサンプルがあれば試してみたいなと思ってます 🤭

If they work well enough for you, then I guess they must be a good fit for you after all! 😂

I specifically chose and bought my earphones for ASMR, but I just use a pair of headphones I already owned, so I'm not very knowledgeable about headphones either, haha. 😂

Earbuds , because they're convenient and low-profile. But sometimes I choose to play music out loud instead; it depends on the type of CD. For more everyday, casual ones, I just play them out loud. For stuff like 18+ content, though, I'd better put my earbuds on.

I use wired Bluetooth headphones because I'm afraid of losing them if I use completely wireless ones. If the cord is too long, I have a little trick: wrap it around my neck so it doesn't move around when I'm lying down listening to music.

Earbuds are definitely appealing since you don't have to deal with a cable getting in the way! I tend to wear mine for long periods, but I still haven't found a pair of earbuds that can last long enough for my listening sessions. 😂

I've always used earphones because I like being able to immerse myself even with more casual Otome CDs, but for that kind of content, I can totally see how speakers would work just fine too! 😆
