a bit off topic, but I need to rant a bit

does anyone else hate the word cuck

I feel like that word doesn't even mean what it's supposed to mean anymore. Cuck has become a word you use against people you don't like

And it's also turned into a word that's synonymous with .. pardon my language.. insecure manchilds that get really upset when their sexuality is challenged in even the slightest..

and it takes very little to make them feel insecure. Basically anything that suggest they are not getting their imaginary entitlement to be exclusively and unconditionally loved by their object of affection means they are cucked. What. The. Fuck.

basically the TLDR version of this is the NTR "generation" is very different from the cuck "generation", which I think has been hijacked by neo nazis, gamergate, and /pol/

So yeah, I may someone with deviant tastes but fuck those guys.. //end rant

Um...actually I've never seen or experienced in that sense both in person (ie out and about, at a game, with friends, enemies, ect) or seen it in media where somebody is called a cuck for your stated reasons.

I'm sure it happens, I'm sure you have examples (obviously or you wouldn't be so angry) but I think for most people cuck still means cuckold - especially in a sexual fetish way OR cheating way for more old school british types.

I actually know from experience that if women "hear" the term its usually followed by "are you into that" or my "ex-bf" was into that, I "read" something about that. Tumblr has certainly done an excellent job introducing the fetish to the world and women indirectly (interesting fact - tumblr has more female users then males although what they post is vastly different even if it includes porn lol)

ironically when I say this post I actually assumed you were gonna complain that cuck has too much of a humiliation theme where the male is often shown as a wimp, where now its more about the sexual fantasy just involving wife watching with a little humiliation play - rather then pure betrayal ala victorian ages where it was once very popular.

Blame 4chan. Popular internet usage of "cuck" originated on /pol/ and it's spread like wildfire. It's the new "fag", at least in certain circles of the internet.

Personally, it doesn't bother me at all. I've almost entirely disassociated it with NTR; it's essentially just a meaningless meme to me. In fact, I've always separated traditional "cuckoldry" and "netorare" as two separate distinctly western and eastern concepts. It's hard for me to articulate, but I don't really even consider them to be the same thing.

True but in their basic terminology cuckold and netorare both are defined as a cheating partner in the most basic terms, and like any fetish its often more complicated then that.

In this case the term cuck is being re-used as the term for being a pussy or wimp in a generalized sense. In the same way somebody can tell you to go fuck yourself, your girlfriend could say I wanna fuck you - its really just how the end user uses the word to express themselves.

As for the use of "cuck" on circles of the internet, I think it must be true that is unique to a few and very exclusive corners of the internet because again I usually only encounter it as a sexual meaning.
