Do you use default settings on VNs?

I turn the background music down too, and I also set the text speed to the fastest setting.

I usually change the text speed, I don't like it when the text just instantly show up but I do want the text animations to be a little bit faster. I change the bgm, se, and voice settings too with bgm being the lowest and the voices need to be highest always lol

Usually I change three things, lower BGM, lower NPC voices if possible, and set the text speed to max. Other settings depend on the game.

I always have to turn up the text speed to max bc I read pretty fast and waiting for the text to catch up really irritates me lol.
I hate it when sometimes there's a flashback or an emotional sequence or something and they force the text to go super slow.
Like the confession sequence in Tokimeki Memorial Girl's Side 1st Love was so annoying because they made the text insanely slow and you can't skip ahead at all.

i'm a fast reader so i put the text speed to instant, for auto speed i turn it up just a teeny bit, i lower the bgm a bit too so i can listen to the voices clearer, and the sound effects i also tone down a bit

I always change the text speed to instant, lower the BGM, and sometimes change the text window too if the game offers several options.

I almost always turn the music off. Sometimes I leave the background music on, but very quietly. Also, if the heroine has a voice and there's an option to turn her voice off or lower her volume, I do that. I set the text speed to the maximum. I don't really do much, honestly... or at least I don't think I do? :)

I only make minor adjustments, usually increasing the speed of the text and playing around with the bgm/voice settings

I usually use earphones when playing, so I keep the volume for the background music and sound effects relatively low. Sound effects can go off unexpectedly, and if they are too loud, I get startled and end up crying out

I change text speed to just below instant, I tend to mash sometimes and I have muscle memory from playing a lot of pokemon games. I also usually turn down bgm and se and turn up voices!

i feel like for every vn i have to speed up the text also sometimes the bgm is too loud or some of the VAs voices are too soft so i have to adjust those too.
