Do you use a guide or go in blind when playing otome games?

When I play otome games, I usually use a guide because I like to clear everything efficiently and aim for 100% completion.
But at the same time, part of me wants to experience at least one playthrough completely blind someday.

I like to use guides when I play because I basically see otome games as voiced visual novels. Using guides just make the story feel much more seamless.

When I was younger, I used to only read the route of the LI I liked the most, and then I'd stop playing. Now, I use a guide because I want to read all the routes in the intended order and get all the CGs and dialogues. I still have my favourite LI, of course, but I'm not afraid of playing the other routes anymore lol

I like to playthrough the first time by myself blindsided, then use the guides. I think it's much more fun that way

Principalmente trato de dar todo de mí para sacar todos los finales con mi instinto... pero siempre termino sacando finales malos y me veo obligado a usar la guía para lo que queda del juego xD

I usually going in blind cuz I like to see the choice I made. And love it when you get a happy ending without any guide.

I use a guide. Not out of laziness though. I do it because usually in Otome Games the choices deciding whether or not you get a good or bad end are nonsensical and random. This is overexaggerating but for example the choices 1. say hello 2. wave 3. stay silent resulting in 1. brutal bad end 2. neutral ending 3. good end. So I prefer to play them with guides to remove the stress from playing. Though I wonder if I should experiment and play a game with no guide now.

I prefer to go in blind to see what results my choices give me, but I'll use a guide if I'm stuck and can't get an ending or cg after replaying a bunch of times.

I think it's worth playing the game blind at first, so you can experience it for yourself. Then, later on, you can play with a guide to access the content you missed, or to get that content without having to complete difficult or time-consuming quests

I usually play without a guide at first. But there are some VNs where I just have to use one especially if the game is really long and I'm not sure which ending I'll end up with.

I always play while looking at a guide. I do that because if I just play on my own and fail, I'm only wasting my time.

I usually play without a walkthrough at first, but I often use one from the second playthrough onwards. Without a walkthrough, it's usually impossible to complete the routes for the characters I want, so walkthroughs are very helpful.

Depends, i usually go without any guide but when i see it needed ( to get a specific route ) i do, if i take the example of slow damage i sometimes really struggled to get certain routes or endings for unknown reasons so i forced myself to use a guide throughout all the process to get them ( i also sometimes do when i don't wanna bother myself redoing the route to get a better ending or to know where i need to save to load and try another ending/ choice !!
