I usually check the parts I'm most interested in first. If I like what I see, I'll go back and experience the whole thing from the beginning.

Lol drama CDs have their own story. Admittedly they're short and most of them (especially the ones heavy on R18 fanservice) aren't elaborate, but I still prefer to know the situation first. A buildup enhances the spice imo.
Speaking honestly, past a certain point if you've listened to many CDs, the spice starts to become somewhat samey. You know the same moans, ear-licking, breathing, dirty words... I'd get bored very quickly if there is nothing else to keep my interest.

I need the context for the storyline tho lol maybe skimming it just to find out the main opening act to the build up scene then run straight to the spicy scene when i'm not in the mood but usually i have to listen to it from the beginning

I always at least listen to the whole thing once, for sure. Like what everyone else has said, I need the context! But if I find a spicy scene really good, I sometimes will go back to that track to listen to it again, so that will be when I skip the rest of the story.

It's not as fun without the build up you know? For me the most important thing is the romance so what I enjoy the most is seeing two characters progress up to the point where they get intimate. Love is a wonderful thing.

I usually like to listen from start to finish! The plot is really important to me, so I usually watch the whole thing from start to finish and then listen repeatedly to the scenes I like, especially the R-18 ones. Hehe
