Do you prioritize playing newly released otome/bl games?

I'm the kind of person who sticks to the old games and avoids the new ones... I might actually end up not playing new games.

Depends if the released catched my attention or not. Eventually, somewhere along the way would end up in my backlog...

I'm with everyone who thinks that it depends whether a new release looks more interesting than backlog games, or not.

I can't keep up with new releases anyway, so I prefer to go with a flow and pick up anything my brain decides we should go for. It can be a new game, it can be an old one, it can be the fifth re-reading of a favourite vn, who knows?

Yeah, I think it really depends on whether or not a newer release tickles my fancy. And at this point, it's really gotta ratgrab me to get put to the top of the list. I'm already so slow at reading VNs, it feels like my backlog will never be cleared... BUT whenever the english release of Ooe comes out everything is getting shoved aside - that's 100% certain for me.

I don't play many newly released games — it really depends on whether they catch my interest. Of course, the language barrier with Japanese is also a big hurdle.

Most of the newly released otome games I do play are fandiscs. I'm just too eager to see what happens after the main story, so I'll jump straight into the Japanese version.

I like prioritizing my backlog of games, but then the spoilers start coming out, and it's also the time when the fandom is probably the most active, so they get me caught up in the idea of wanting to play the newly released games Dx

They're never really a priority, but if people talk about it a lott for longer than just a few months, it's definitely worth a shot

Backlog first, but if my friend recommends it to me (our tastes are quite similar sometimes), I'll put it at the top to play next. Well, not going to lie, any game my friend recommends always succeeds in making me ditch my backlog lmao.

I tend to prioritize a new release if it's getting really good reviews or if there's an LI whose character design is especially my type. Otherwise, I'll usually go back to the games I haven't gotten around to yet. Though honestly, with how busy I've been with real life lately, I haven't even been able to keep up with new releases that well.

Only if I'm really looking forward to the new otome game, which, frankly, is extremely rare. For some reason, older VNs seem more interesting to me.

I personally think it depends on my mood too, but I think I'm more to the newly released type if it's fits my taste and catches my attention!

I usually prioritize new releases! If there's a game I'm really looking forward to, I get too excited to leave it sitting in my backlog 😂

I tend to prioritize the game I'm playing at the moment. I don't have much free time to play so there is no way I can keep up with new releases, and that sums up with my HUGE backlog so I rarely play new games as soon as they are released.

Crazy chain is out? Omg how was it, is there any info bout an English patch, is there any NtR BL bull- init this time? Oh my days I'm scared s.o hold my hand X0

I don't, I usually just add them to my backlog. If there's a new release that's really grabbing my attention I'll definitely move it to the top of my to do list but I still prioritize whatever game I'm currently playing. Since I rarely interact with the community in social media, I don't really feel the rush to pick up the newest release so I can go through my backlog as slowly as I want to lol

New games often look more exciting, so I tend to prioritize them over the games already in my backlog.
However, since I don't have enough time to keep up with all the new releases, my backlog just keeps growing.
