Do you prefer playing on a portable device or on PC?

When I have energy, I prefer playing games on the PC because the bigger screen makes reading text easier and the large visuals more enjoyable. But since I started working, my energy has dropped, so portable devices are more suitable for fragmented time.

I prefer playing otomes on my pc over handheld for a few reasons. Compared to handheld my pc offers; a better sound system, bigger font, bigger CGS. Overall a just a better otome experience. The only down side being its not portable; but I think the pros outweighs the cons on that end. (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ

I prefer playing games on a PC or tablet:
the screen is large, the graphics are sharp, text and images are clear, the sound can be amplified by my own speakers, and I don't have to worry about charging.

When using a computer, I maintain a safe distance and take breaks to avoid excessive gaming.

Secondly, I prefer mobile phones:
they're portable and I can play anytime, anywhere. The downsides are charging and the ease of spending too much time playing, especially late at night before bed, which is bad for my health and eyes.

I prefer to play on PC simply because I am more used to using a keyboard compared to a controller. And who's to say that PCs aren't portable to some extent when you're using a laptop? However if I had to choose between a console or phone, I would choose the console as I find those to be more ergonomic and comfortable to use compared to a phone.

I like to play games while lying down on my bed or sofa, so I prefer handheld game consoles. With a PC, it feels like there's too much setup involved before I can actually start playing.
I wonder what kind of posture people adopt when playing games on a laptop while lying down? Do they lie on their stomachs? Or do they use a stand or something? I want to get even more comfortable, so I'd like some tips.

PC all the way mainly because it's so versatile to be able to emulate a bunch of games that aren't native on PC, but also because I'm a sucker for playing on original hardware when it comes to pc even if it's a visual novel. I have both an old XP laptop and a Win98 pc (dead rn sadly) for this purpose, working on getting a PC98 and an FM Towns too but prices and import tax are crazy.

I play on PC, but I usually mirror it to my tablet, sooo technically portable. I tend to get distracted too easily when I'm sitting at my PC lol. I also struggle with falling asleep in bed while playing though, sometimes.. 😅

Since I have to play using emulators and translation software, my PC is the only viable option for playing otome games. That said, it's not uncomfortable—after all, I spend a good amount of time in front of it anyway.

I mostly prefer to play on my laptop, since there's more variety of otome games on it (through emulation or not). Also I'm just a lot more comfortable using it. Portable devices like phones are fine too, don't get me wrong, but I find myself getting bored real fast. It's a me problem, I'll admit. XD

I like to play on my PC because it's easier for me to focus on the story with bigger screen. There are more game titles I can play on PC too because I need emulators to understand Japanese games

To be honest, if I had to choose one, I'd rather play on a portable device. It's more convenient because I can play anytime, anywhere. Plus, since my PC is in a shared space with my family, it would be really awkward if they saw me playing on it lol. Sometimes, when a game is ported from PC to handheld, the story might have some additions or cuts. If I really love that title, I'll play both the PC and handheld versions, so it doesn't really matter which one I play first—it's just that if a handheld version is available, I'll definitely play that one first.

I prefer playing on PC because the image quality is usually much higher. I have a really good monitor! However playing in bed on my vita, switch, or steam deck is still fun and convenient.

I prefer my laptop a bit more because that's what I'm used. However I do like how its more comfortable/less bulky to use a console and easier to carry around, though it is a bit hard to transition after playing on PC for so long.

At first, I preferred playing otome games on my PC, but as I've gotten older, it's become difficult to sit at a desk and use a computer for long periods.
Because of this, I now prefer playing on a Nintendo Switch or a UMPC.

I've always loved playing games on a PC!
I just bought a gaming PC and it's the best thing ever!
I don't have a portable device because I use emulators for console games.

I prefer portable device. It's ready to play instantly, lets me sit in whatever comfortable position I like, and is perfect for making the most of my spare time.

I like both, but I definitely prefer PC. The bigger screen and better sound make it so much more immersive, and it's also really convenient for using translation tools and taking notes.

The portable devices is what I often play with because it's convenient. I don't have to stay in one place to play. However, the screen of the portable devices is indeed too small. When I appreciate CGs, I will link to a larger screen or project it to watch. Moreover, the screenshots from the portable devices are not very good; the resolution will be a bit worse. This is a bit of a pity. The content of PC games has less limitations, and taking screenshots is also convenient. I quite like it as well.

I use a special cushion for laptop and take it with me, so laptop doesn't touch anything directly and overheat. But it's hard to do so in summer, too hot ☀️ Small bed tables also work nice (still hot though). As an alternative I sometimes put a laptopon on a table near bed and lay down with a controller, but to do so bed and table need to be the same height. It's hard to achieve a perfect pose 🙃
