Do you prefer (CV) with deep or soft voice?

in general i really like overall mid range but goes deeper than usual (like a growl) during certain moments. but i think i'll go team deep voice too... especially if its furumako or satotaku 🥰

While I used to prefer a gentle vocal style for games—aside from anime or *otome* titles—I became completely captivated by deep voices after discovering a voice actor with a low register whom I hadn't known before. Although I'm often initially drawn in by a character's design, once I hear that deep voice, I find myself irresistibly pulled toward that character.

definitely depends on the character for me too. (*´∀`*)
i like the flirty mischievous type so rarely do they have a heavy bass baritone voice or a really soft voice for majority of the time. they're usually on the higher range with a lilt to show playfulness so
i'm team in between?

as for soft voices, they're usually attached to characters that don't align with my favorite tropes, but whiny, whispery soft voices are faaaantastic.

but, boy, howdy, does a nice low register voice talking sweet or being commanding just...sigh, i wish men were real sometimes..ᵉʰᵉʰᵉ(*/∇\⭒)
Yes ! you get it (● ˃̶͈̀ロ˂̶͈́)੭ꠥ⁾⁾

Deep voices, and it's not even close. They have an unreasonable amount of power over me. The moment I hear that low, smooth voice, my wallet starts trembling because I already know I'm about to simp.

Yuuichirou Umehara and Junichi Suwabe are probably the biggest culprits. Umehara's voice has that calm, effortlessly attractive vibe, while Suwabe's voice is just... papi chulo incarnate. Every time either of them is announced as a CV for an LI, my interest in the game immediately shoots up by at least 50%.

Soft voices can be really charming depending on the character, but if you give me the choice between soft and deep, I'm picking the deep voice every single time without a second thought. RAAAAAAAA

Absolutely deep voice, because it sounds more mature and commanding, which fits my preference.

I also love deep voices, not the husky, smoky type, but a low, low-pitched tone, not the kind used for whispering or hushed conversations.

Especially when whispering sweet nothings or offering sexual favors to the female lead.

These characters usually have a contrast: when excited, surprised, or frightened, their voices suddenly rise, they scream, or shout loudly. Sometimes I hear it and find it quite amusing.

I like both! But if I had to choose, I'd go with a deep voice.
It makes my heart race when someone whispers in a low voice!

To be honest, I like all Japanese male voice actors. They are so distinctive that, even if I don't remember their names, I do remember their voices.

I really like both. And when the voice changes from softer to deeper or reverse, it just feels so good. The contrast makes me feel the change of atmosphere

Deep voices all the way! It truly is ASMR for me when I hear a deep voice that hits just right. I get goosebumps in all the best ways and I just feel so relaxed (even if the situation of the drama is like heavy already lmao) I noticed I cringe a lot with soft or whiny voices but to each their own lol

I don't have a preference. I don't think that I would even be able to divide most of the voice actors strictly into the deep or higher-pitched cathegory (you probably meant "higher-pitched" instead of "soft"). I like when they sound unique and distinctive so I can recognize them immediately, and for me, it's more about the way they use their voice instead of a pitch.

I'd also say that it depends for me too, like if the situation in the drama CD calls for this vibe then sure I'd vibe with it too.

But if I really needed to pick between the two, I would go with soft voice. Maybe it's because I like to listen to drama CDs before I go to sleep so having a soft voice whisper in my ears while it lulls me to sleep rewired my brain to enjoy it or smth

I tend to prefer deeper voices, but I'm especially drawn to a vocal quality that is gentle, soft, and pleasing to the ear.
When someone speaks in a calm, enveloping tone, I find myself instantly captivated...!

To be honest, it depends on my mood. When I'm feeling down, I prefer soft voices, while deep, low voices cheer me up more when I'm bored.
