Do you prefer (CV) with deep or soft voice?

definitely depends on the character for me too. (*´∀`*)
i like the flirty mischievous type so rarely do they have a heavy bass baritone voice or a really soft voice for majority of the time. they're usually on the higher range with a lilt to show playfulness so
i'm team in between?

as for soft voices, they're usually attached to characters that don't align with my favorite tropes, but whiny, whispery soft voices are faaaantastic.

but, boy, howdy, does a nice low register voice talking sweet or being commanding just...sigh, i wish men were real sometimes..ᵉʰᵉʰᵉ(*/∇\⭒)

It definitely depends on the character and how the drama CD is delivered.

For binaural works, specifically works where the voice actor talks riiiiiight beside your ear, I enjoy deep voices! I think the vibration, if that makes sense, of the voice really enhances the tingling feeling you're supposed to get.

Soft voices are super nice for lovey dovey or emotional stories though! More, truly drama-like CDs akin to maybe a show or an audio drama?

I don't really have a strict preference. Even your favorite flavor of gum gets boring if you chew it all the time. I feel the same way about voice types.
I tend to like deep, mellow voices such as テトラポット登, 茶介 and 久喜大 because they feel very comforting and their voice acting is always amazing.
But after listening to that type of voice for a while, I'll switch things up and listen to sweeter, younger-sounding voices like 春男児, 湯町駆 and 佐和真中.
Also, even the same VA can switch between different voice types. Domon Atsushi is a good example—sometimes his voice is quite deep, and other times it's much brighter. And I have to say, his clingy, spoiled-sounding performances are adorable haha.
So it really just depends on my mood.Variety keeps things interesting. 😆

Both!!! but I feel deep voices are more dependent on things like recording quality and audio playback.
Since audio in otome game is often compressed, softer voices may have a slight advantage when it comes to sounding consistently good.

That aside, my deep voice hall of fame: Miki Shinichirou and Hayami Shou. The absolute legends.
For softer voices, ...too many!! Tamaru Atsushi really impressed me recently tho (his acting occasionally gives me a little of Ishida Akira vibes✨)

I think it depends on the type of character in the game, as long as it matches the atmosphere of the character, it's great! So when it comes to voice acting, I prefer settings that are tailored to the characters!

Deep voice!! I'm going crazy when Okamoto Nobuhiko talk deep voice like Minami( 9rip) in MC dream . I like Yang voice too but Minami deep voice make me goosebumps. I wonder if there another VA with deep voice?

Have you heard Suwabe Junichi? Recently he is not often seen in otome games, but his voice is just... woah . Kondou Takashi is another favourite of mine, but he has a big range, so sometimes he does high voices.

I myself love deep voices, but then again softer types like Ishikawa Kaito are also nice to listen to (ღ*ˇᴗˇ*)

I think what's important is whether it suits the character, but a deep voice sounds good.
I'm not entirely sure if it's because my favorite voice actor is playing my favorite character, or if I came to like the voice because I like the character.

If we're talking about audio dramas, i like both. Both are good and great, because i always tend to focus on the story.

But if about games, deep voices are ✨. I really like Miki Shinichiro so much, and i'd want to play a game if there's a handsome character with him!

Thank you so much! <3 I don't know these names. But i checked and how i didn't know my fav Jinnia and Majima was voiced by Kondou Takashi T.T And Urabe voiced by Suwabe Junichi. How did i miss it?!! haha. Also i like voice Tsuda Kenjiro.

It mainly depends on the character's personality and appearance. But since I mostly end up liking mature men, a deep, sexy voice works better for me, like Makoto Furukawa and Yoshimasa Hosoya. That said, I also really like voices like Yuki Kaji and Tetsuya Kakihara. A playful kind of sexiness.:alice_love:

Deep.
Sexy, mature, low pitch, just hits harder. Especially with laughs, moans, breathing, and whispers—it all feels stronger and more immersive. Nothing beats when it sounds like she's right next to you.

tbh it entirely depends on the character vibe, but if i have to choose i'm 100% team deep voice.

there's just something about a low, smooth baritone that hits different, especially for mature or tsundere types. when a VA drops their pitch for those quiet, up-close whispers or trailing laughs, it literally carries the whole atmosphere and makes it way more immersive.

soft/gentle voices are super nice too if the character is more playful or emotional, but yeah... a good deep register just does things to my brain lol

If I had to choose, I'd probably say I prefer deeper voices.

I tend to be drawn to characters with lower voices more often. There's something very calming and comforting about them.

That said, I like softer voices too. It really depends on the character and performance😊

It SUPER depends for me!! I tend to listen to CD works by my favorites only so I cannot really decide on only one! I like Tokki and Uji's soothing, gentle voices, while also enjoying Tky and Jack Westwood's deep voices (despite jack not rly being active in the otome cd field T_T.. i really wish he was). And the versatility of Takanashi Kengo's voice + acting!!!

I like both!! It's my meals for my ears and I already focus on my fav VAs (both in all ages and rated works) so I accept everything whenever they decided doing deep or soft voices.

Especially, since I'm audiophile there's a thing but idk how to describe, like my ears can knows how they using soft voices wrapped with mischievous act and using deep voices wrapped with sexy act or mysterious atmosphere.

But it's kinda hard for me to accept new VA altho they already using those two type of voices. So, as long as VAs really on the character they play and nailed with the performance, their voices can be added to my next interested meals 🫪

It depends a lot on the character. If the voice suits the character well, I can end up loving both deep and soft voices. My personal preference is actually somewhere in the middle, and I tend to prefer mid-range voices over extremely deep or high-pitched ones.

It really depends on the character tbh but i think i'm more into the soft voiced since i'm into the really cliché ikemen type or the genki "old brother" type…it doesn't mean i dislike deep voice seiyuus because one of my favourite seiyuu is genuinely furukawa makoto who as a hella deep voice, i just think that i'm more into the soft voiced ones ( ex : my favourite seiyuu being toki shunichi who as a really sweet soft voice! I genuinely adore his voice . )
