So I was curious about this! For me, I definitely prefer games to be fully voiced, I love being able to hear the characters' tone and get a better sense of their personalities. Good voice acting really brings a game to life, right? I rarely play VNs that aren't voiced unless the story and art style seem really good, and that doesn't happen that often. but even then, I still find them a little harder to get into, and sometimes I end up hesitating to even start them. What about you guys?

I do prefer voice acting (especially if the game isn't in English). The lack of it won't stop me from playing a game, but I did recently lament the absence a little while playing an older BL title. Especially since it was a humorous game, it felt the jokes would have landed so much better...

But I'm also an enthusiast for free/doujin games and I download a lot of stuff on Freem! that aren't voiced. Since they're on the shorter side it's not so difficult to finish them!

Having a fully voiced novel is nice, but why limit yourself? Not that I did any calculations, but there are probably more not voiced novels, than voiced ones, especially if we are talking about western games. I like reading doujin and free novel games too, and while they almost always have zero voices, there are true gems among them. Story is more important to me, than voice acting. If story is bad, no amount of good voices will save it 😂

I don't mind it really, it's just like reading a book or a manga.

Good voice acting really does add a lot to a character though. I was playing the Chou no Doku fandisc recently and was really enthralled by how natural and charming Majima sounded.

Personally, I lean toward visual novels with beautiful art. Most of them don't take too long to play either, so I don't mind if they don't have voice acting.

If you get too hung up on whether a game has voice acting or not, you might end up missing out on some really fun and amazing titles.

Voice acting is just a plus for me - it's always nice if it's there, but I don't mind if it isn't. I play a lot of indie stuff, so I guess I am used to non voiced games. It's not a particularly relevant aspect in games for me, either, I consider writing and art to be more important.

I can play games without voice acting at all because I pay more attention to the plot and character design of the game, and voice acting is optional and unimportant to me. Dubbing can better immerse the gaming experience. Without dubbing, I can read the story as a visual novel. As long as the plot is good and the characters are what I am interested in, I enjoy playing!

I have no issue with them, although I do think good voice acting can elevate a character significantly.

I share the same opinion as most, ultimately ; So long as the plots good, I don't mind either way. Just... not bad voice acting. I can't handle bad voice acting.

I prefer games with voice acting, ideally fully voiced, because tone also plays a part in understanding a character's emotions. With just text, sometimes the emotional nuance can be less clear. Some games may not have the budget for full voice work and might only include a few interjections or no voice at all—which is a real shame.

Fully voiced is really good and definitely adds to the experience but at the end of the day art and writing are king. You could have the best cast in the world if the art and writing are shit im not touching it lol
Now that i think about it's similar to manga. Where even if your art is terrible( Ranking of kings), if your writing is amazing then it's a great manga.

Voice acting can add another layer of characterization for the characters so I definitely have a preference for games with it, but I wouldn't let it define what games I would or would not play.

Not everyone has the budget for it, I think it would be a shame to write them off because they're not voiced. I ultimately play these games for the stories and the art so as long as it's presented to me in a satisfying way then I think I'm good.

I am accustomed to reading novels and manga without voice acting, so the absence of voices in a visual novel doesn't bother me. In fact, for some titles, I actually prefer that there are no voice actors; words alone make it easier to tuck the story away on the bookshelf of my heart.

If possible, I prefer games that are fully voiced.
Having voice actors for the characters allows me to gain a deeper understanding of the game's world.
However, it would be a shame to overlook wonderful titles simply by being too fixated on that one aspect.

I prefer voiced but there are some really nice gems that are unvoiced. ive played a few mobile voltage games and ngl Kings of Paradise was my shittt 🤤

i do feel a bit awkward when games have a mix of voiced+unvoiced, like the Ikemen games, where most of it is unvoiced but the important story parts and trailers are voiced... idk bro why cant you just give me the full voice stop edging me 😭 its not a big deal it just throws me off

I've been pretty lazy this year, so I usually just use auto. But it really takes too long. I have so many games to play, I'll never be able to finish them all. 😭😭

Yes! Some storylines are so good that even without voice acting, the character art and plot alone can pull me in. Of course, having voice acting does enhance the overall experience and makes it more enjoyable.
Moreover, some games started out without voice acting, but due to their exceptional storylines and commercial success, voice acting was later introduced.
