Do you like Minigames or Puzzles in your VNs?

I only enjoy puzzles or simple minigames when I have too much freetime and looking for a little challenge, provided they're well-designed and integrate into the story instead of feeling completely out of place just to drag things out. Though, when it comes to completing the rest of the game, I really wish there was a skip button, especially for those frustrating stat-raising or repetitive grinding minigames =))

For me, it depends. If I have the time and the minigame is actually fun, I'll play it properly without skipping. But if it's too difficult or I'm short on time, I'll just skip it. Usually I don't skip the first time I encounter a minigame, but if I have to replay it over and over again just to move the story forward… yeah, I'll skip it without a second thought 😅

I am also really bad at mini-games or puzzles.
If it weren't for the guide, I would have been stuck there forever.
If mini-games or puzzles are absolutely necessary, I wish they were at a very easy difficulty level.

I usually don't play mini games very much. I have plenty of time, so I prefer to play large games. Most of them are otome games, but if small games are more interesting, I occasionally play them as leisure time.:ROFLMAO:

I actually really like them! Just reading text for too long can get a bit tiring, so having minigames or puzzles mixed in gives me a better sense of engagement. I'm especially a huge fan of designs where the puzzle outcomes affect the branching storyline—it gives me a lot more motivation to keep playing. If a VN is just pure text, I sometimes get bored and end up skipping through it.😅

Im neutral with them, honestly I play VNs for the story and choices, not to play mini games 😭 but I think a great medium are things like timed responses, or another example I can think of is in bustafellows where limbo quizzes teuta on something (its been a bit long, i cant remember exactly), it feels natural and part of the story! Also i love the added challenges of timed responses

I like minigames, honestly... some games have really cute chibi character minigames, and some have puzzle ones with timers. I'm not very good at those, but I usually look up help hahaha, especially if I really can't solve the puzzle (*´ω`*)
