Do you hunt down every DLC and extra content ?

Okay so when a franchise really hooks me, I go absolutely out of my way to find every DLC, bonus disc, side story — basically any extra content out there. But honestly, sometimes that's not enough lol. I get this urge to actually talk to the developers themselves, like I just want to pick their brains and understand everything behind the game. And if I can't find certain content or answers anywhere, it actually bothers me so much. I start feeling like a fake fan( my friends already think it's pretty weird, but I can't help it '-') So I gotta ask — do you guys get this obsessive too, or do you just play the main game and move on if extras aren't available?

It's normal lol it happens coz u are so invested in that game that u want every crumb. I'm just like u too but since I'm in introvert I don't wanna meet the devs (⁠ب⁠_⁠ب⁠)

Yes, I like to listen to the otome drama CDs, it gives a new air to the LIs

There were drama cds that piqued my interest tho, for example

Wand of Fortune for example had a drama CD where the Female Lead had a kid with the male leads. That was so fun to listen to.
CxM had this drama cd with Yanagi where they were implied that they were in a bath tub. That made me blush.

I'm also like you I'd be interested in other related content if I like something, but it's very hard to find them all and purchase them can be very expensive. I would buy it if I'm really desperate but I kind of give up after a bit and just move on.

Is it really necessary to know everything about content to enjoy it Isn't one of the best part about reading in finding or imagining answers yourself?

lol that's normal, when I'm this invested it's very hard to move on.
It's heartbreaking when I can't get extra content.

Yes, when a game captivates me enough and I'm deeply interested in its story, I'll consider buying DLC, and even related merchandise like art books and CD

Even if the DLC comes out much later, I'll replay the entire game itself, because I'll probably have forgotten a lot of the plot details. Jumping straight into the DLC would leave me completely confused.

Once I become completely engrossed in, I find myself driven by the urge to cover every content of it.
However, I generally just let it pass, since I know from experience that my attention will eventually shift elsewhere.

I don't always go for extra bits like DLC. It totally depends on how much obsessed I am with the game. For example, an extension of games like "Stream Prison" or "Code Realise"? Obviously. But generally I don't go for them.

If it's a game I really like, I'd love to collect the DLC, OST, CDs, and even magazine features. However, I'm not quite comfortable interacting with other fans of the game—though that's just a personal thing; I find one-on-one conversations a bit intimidating.

Yes!! I totally understand the need to get any more crumb of the otome game. Before, I used to hunt down the official art books, drama cds, dlc, and any additional content, especially if its for my favorite character. Now I do it less often and mostly just for those special games. But when I like something, I go all in xd.

I will. Many otome games are one-time purchases; they don't actually have that much content, and there won't be any ongoing updates afterward, so collecting all the DLCs can expand the total story content.

I've come to notice I have a tendency to hoard collectibles. Any game I have played, regardless of how fond I am of it, I want to gather all its bonus completely. Chances are I won't have the energy to appreciate each item one by one later on, but sorting through these contents is satisfying in its own right.

I generally get attached to one or two specific characters in a game, and I might try to seek out everything I can for just those favorite characters. Only rarely do I try to experience every extra content.
Something I really enjoy though is buying the artbook for favorite otome games. Then I can continue to enjoy the art and CGs whenever I like, and flipping through the books later can be like taking a little trip down memory lane.

Only things that are easily available, like DLCs or stuff on the eShop and other platforms. I'd love to collect all the voice dramas released for my favorite games, but the import fees make it way too expensive…

I don't think it is obsessive .. but I like having all the available content because it feels more complete ? I don't think I need to talk to the dev though XD

I do want to collect things, but only when I'm really, really into something!

I'll buy things like DLC and books that I can find on my own. It makes me happy to learn even a little bit more about the world and the characters.
