Do you get FOMO easily?

I used to do that, but lately I just played anything that interest me, and even old games couple years old ago, either a replay or a new start,. for the replay, I find it interesting to feel difference when I played it before vs now, maybe because of the kanji comprehensive difference too, but it def feels refreshing and fun <3

I really thought I didn't get it.... And then OverRequiemz was announced and oohh I saw so many playing it before the localization was shown and I had so much FOMO I ended up trying to set up a translator... It didn't work lol

I do. I try not to, since I'd like to support developers when I can. But there are times where I sail the seven seas for titles I've very keen on trying and sometimes it helps me avoid spending money on games I would've dropped.

I used to get FOMO so bad its one of the main reasons I got a pc was to play otomes ദ്ദി（• ˕ •マ. But now I feel like im less susceptible to FOMO as I know even if I play the game in 5 years im not missing out im just not playing right this second.

I guess I get fomo in a completely opposite way. when it comes to new released game that catch my eye, I wouldn't want to see any repo that might give me imformation that I didn't know, and I feel so urgent to play that game. Whereas if I have been attracted to a game by other people's repo, I would rather hope to read more reviews to keep my interest.

Yes, unfortunately. If I see everyone enjoying a new otome game or posting it on X, I can't stop thinking about it until I play it myself.

Not really. Maybe its because I don't really keep up with the recent releases. I mostly play according to my schedule and mood. Before I felt Fomo when games were shifting from the psp to the ps vita (which I didnt have) and now I just accept that I cant always keep up.

well to be fair, mostly otome games are just one round play i dont get fomo when is something i can get later, and dont get spoil easy, sooo at least me no....

Now that's been happening to me lately, trying so many games, to the point where I'm confused about which one to play first, and in the end, I haven't finished any of them.

I don't feel like following the hype around a game either, it's definitely fun to enjoy it with the community don't get me wrong but I've always treated otome as an intimate, private hobby of mine. I find that it helps to temper whatever expectations I would have too.

Not fear of missing out, but rather, fear of having a game spoiled for me before I'm ready to play it at my own timing.
I find myself sometimes thinking "I should play this game at release or else I might stumble on someone posting unmarked spoilers for it" and that can be a little frustrating, since I generally prefer to wait until I'm in the right mood for a specific game rather than play just because it's new. And so I try to steer clear of anyone/anyplace that might be sharing unhidden spoilers.

X2 with the difference I use sns to get news and share my thoughts about otomes, but I agree that it's a hobby of mine, and because I like to play at my own pace my fomo lower its intensity haha

It happened to me with crazy chain, I still don't feel like playing, but I've seen people talking about the plot or the boys and I prefer to go without prior ideas for when I feel to play ;;;

Yeah, I definitely get FOMO when I see a game with absolutely gorgeous visuals. But my way of dealing with it is to make it mine, and then the FOMO just disappears.

Whether it's a book or a game, as long as I can get it onto my device, either by buying it or downloading it, I immediately feel at peace.

Whether I actually play it or read it? That can wait.

I just need to own it first.

Maybe a little bit, especially with new Japanese games when I see all the gorgeous fanart on my timeline. Even so, I really like that feeling of hype and having something to look forward to after I cave in and order a game. I usually have to wait and see the general opinion before I actually buy one, though, so for the most part I'm just admiring the visuals and imagining what the plot and character development might be based on all the bits people share.

Yeah, I get FOMO pretty easily with most things I enjoy, not just games lol (；´∀｀) Anime, manga, games, pretty much anything I'm interested in.

If I see everyone talking about something or having fun with it, I suddenly feel like I need to experience it too or I'm somehow missing out ;; Even if I already have a huge backlog waiting for me...

I've actually been trying to cure myself of it lately because it can make enjoying things feel like a race instead of something I do at my own pace (´；ω；`) I'm slowly getting better at reminding myself that I don't have to experience everything while it's popular.

Nah, never. I'd rather go at my own pace, and if everyone else is playing a new game such as Crazy Chain, it doesn't affect me. I'll just stick to my own backlog. Sometimes I like to see what others are saying about it tho. if I see it has positive reviews, it may catch my curiosity and make me want to play it but I don't feel any pressure to jump on the hype train.
