Do you finish all routes? Or games you have quit in middle

I like to complete and unlock the extra bonus stories that some games have.
If I can choose the route freely I normally start with least interested character and save the most interested for last.
It's fun to plan and predict my favorite route/character and check after completing.

I used to feel like I had to finish every route, but nowadays I don't mind dropping a route or even an entire game if I'm not enjoying it.
I'd rather spend my time on stories and characters that genuinely interest me than force myself to complete something just for the sake of completion 🥲
 
I tend to finish all the routes because, even if I didn't like the first one, I keep hoping for the best.

Thankfully, it usually pays off.

I'm the type of person who likes to complete a game fully once I start it, so I used to have the patience to play all the way to the end. Lately, though, I just can't find the time. Plus, if a route is too long, I tend to lose interest halfway through. Above all, I just can't seem to maintain the motivation to see it through to completion... I'm starting to feel my years😅
 
It really depends on how good the story is written imo. If there's no "true ending" (like in Slow Damage for example) that requiers to finish everything in order to get it and if the story is not that good and I got the character I liked - I see no reason to finish it. It was kinda like that for me with UtaPri - get the husband, leave the game entirely lol
 
Used to go for a 100% competion but now I just finish the routes' of the characters I'm interested in only
 
That's alright though! Nothing bad about leaving a game unfinished. It's up to you how you play otome games and everyone here, including you, is the target audience so do whatever you want my liege. I personally enjoy finishing otome games, I live for the 100% but sometimes that comes with the struggle of burning out fast, forcing myself to power through a route (have some unfinished games of my own though). Honestly, we set some rules or standards on ourselves we forget we're supposed to be having fun lol! If you're good with one LI and want to dip, do it

Oof. The struggle is real... I used to play fewer VNs, so it was simpler to always complete every route and every ending, good or bad. Then, I started getting more and more on my list to play, and a lot of them are games I'm VERY much interested in and I have to sit on my hands to not play more than one at a time because I'll never get through them in their entirety if I start playing multiple games at once. I still do all routes and endings, but it's getting increasingly more difficult.

I also struggle because I WANT all the CGs and to see all the endings, but when they're in Japanese vs localized in English, it can get REALLY time consuming with the translations and trying to understand. I don't use text hookers but rather a live-translation app, and it works pretty well for me, but I'm a quick reader and it definitely forces me to slow down, which can be frustrating.
 
I'm a bit of a completionist so I love to try and complete a game even with the bad ending but normally I skip them.
However when I'm in a game and I'm aiming for a character and I've tried like three times still can't get to his route that I have to find a walk-through it's then boring cause I see it as this character wasn't for me and I stop playing it for a while until I can see myself go through it.
 
I'd like to clear all the routes if I can, but there are quite a few times when I just can't, especially when I don't have much free time. I sometimes feel bad about it, but if I'm not interested in a route, I'll skim through it so I can still finish all the routes. However, doing that too much can get exhausting, so I try not to force myself and just play according to my mood. If I'm really enjoying a game, though, I can get caught up in the momentum and end up clearing all the routes in one go.
 
It bothers me a lot when I leave a game halfway, so I clear all the routes unless I absolutely cannot stand the writing. But if the game doesn't have an overarching plot, like the TeniPuri games, then I just go for the characters I like and save the rest for later. Later usually means never, but I try LOL.
 
It depends on both. If it's just reading the story and making choices, I'll try to complete all the routes. But if it requires a lot of time and grinding, it gets overwhelming—so I'll only play the routes of the characters I like
 
I try to finish all the games I start. Of course there's some I didn't finish (like Code:Realize second fandisc), but I'll get back to those games when I find the energy to do it again
 
I'd definitely finish all the routes, 'cause I'd rather complete everything than see different routes on another platform t___t
 
When I play otome games, I make it a rule to complete every single route.
Admittedly, my enthusiasm sometimes wanes a bit when I start a route that doesn't feature my absolute favorite character. Yet, there is only one reason I see them through to the end: to discover a new side of that favorite character—one that can only be seen in that specific route.
By witnessing his behavior and the unexpected expressions he reveals only in these other storylines, I gain a deeper understanding of his humanity. I feel that it is only after experiencing every part of the story that I can truly come to know my favorite character on a profound level.

Usually I complete most of the routes and different endings, I love seeing the percentage go up in the achievements after completing them 😂
 
Of course, I'm going to unlock all the routes~ That way I can take in every last detail of the whole story.
