Do you ever feel Otome fatigue or burnout?

I usually try to 100% the games I'm interested in, but I actually get burnt out quite often from doing that (completionist struggles, ahaha). When that happens, I switch between games and return to the one I didn't finish later. It's the same when I've been reading too much without taking some breaks.

Absolutely. I lose interest when the description of the situation in the game is too long. And I find that when my body is tired, I lose concentration.

yep, it happened couple times for months, I usually go back to my reading cave / gaming (non otoge) cave, then somehow I crave otoge and dive in obsessed with it again (❤️´艸`❤️)

If the plot text is not engaging, I will get sleepy from reading a large amount of text, especially when the plot progresses slowly and the text volume is substantial

yes, these days hard to find otome games which surpised me. The characters somehow feel similar/repetitive to some previous work....I hope heroine have a interesting character and engaging enough. If not, to me, it is like reading powerpoint that never ends XDD

Yes, sometimes it's boring but I always finish it, but in general I don't get bored playing otome games, I get bored with responsibilities and not having time to play.

Yes, this usually happens when I play too many games at the same time, or I am forcing myself to play a character's route I don't care for. I've worked around this situation so it has helped me feel less of a burnout whenever I play otomes now.

Yes, definitely.
When I'm trying to 100% a game — clearing every route, every CG, every ending — it can start to feel like a chore, especially if some routes don't interest me.
But because I'm a completionist, I usually push through instead of taking a proper break 😅

Not really, at least in recent times. If anything I wish I had more time to clear my backlog.

Only when i feel like playing by obligation... since im a heavy hoarder... and to clean some storage, i thought about finishing at least the short games but yeah, the list never ends XD. Also when i'm playing and writing down my reviews at the same time, it doesnt let me concentrate the game itself.

Additionally, when the game story itself is not entertaining but i still want to finish it XDDDDDD.

Agree, i dont get why nowadays the heroine are having the same personality as if there is a template. Maybe they could get out of the box and try other designs? Strong personalities are just too few.

yea i have one right now , got midtroughe virche evermore salvation , i need to finish yves route!!!!!!!

Recently I picked up Haruka 3 psvita version again, and I have a new discovery: there is no description/narration in this game, mainly dialogue, and the dialogie fully depicts how/who the character is, maybe that's why I don't feel bored when reading, it takes techniques to write a script and explain the story just using dialogue. And seldom otome game that new released can do it that way.

Apart from heroine, I just feel the world building and male character protraying are all the same, visual remains attractive but that's for me is totally not enough. I want the characters to be unique.

I cannot count how many new released game being quitted by me alreadyXDD just did not want to waste time XDDD
