Do VAs influence you to start an Otome?

Not really! I don't know many VA's and can't say that i have any favorite. Actually, I often don't even finish listening to the phrases and just skip ahead the second I'm done reading😅. I pay attention to the idea and the visual first.

It can influence me not to play a game if the va is known to do a shit work, but otherwise no

If there is a voice actor that I'm really interested in I will, even the whole game is not so good I can just finish his route and stop:LOL:

I think it will def influence me to look into it. But everyone is so good these days and I'm always happy to find a new favorite

I don't really play otome games, but as soon as I see that a voice actor I love is in one, I'm immediately tempted to try it.
Unfortunately, the gameplay usually doesn't click with me, so... well.

I would say the va does influence me a little bit, but if the story isnt for me im not staying. Even if it has my favorite va(s) ╮ (. ❛ ᴗ ❛.) ╭

Absolutely—I've played through almost all of my otome games just because of the voice actors, whose voices are a pleasure to listen to. Even if they aren't particularly well-known.

100%. I once bought an otome game, that I wasn't really interested in, just because I saw that TsudaKen voiced one of the LIs. The game was pretty mid, but it was still worth it just for his characters route.
If there's no VA in the game that I like, then I probably won't play it.

Honestly, I wouldn't say their influence is that huge, but when a voice actor is really my type, I can't help following them around like I'm enchanted.

Assuming money isn't an issue, of course…

Absolutely. I can play games don't cast my favorite seiyuu(s) but I won't skip a game has my favorite seiyuu(s).

For me, definitely! I'm a fan of quite a few voice actors. I love looking up new titles, reading the summaries, and checking the voice cast. I always get so excited whenever I see one of my favorite voice actors in the cast. ✨

VAs do influence me to some extent, but they aren't the main factor. Story and characters come first. Still, if there are VAs I like in the cast, it definitely adds extra appeal.

That phenomenon of "buying based on the voice actor"—it happens to me all the time. I used to happily snap up every game featuring a voice actor I'd fallen for at first listen. However, as their range has expanded recently, they've started playing characters I don't particularly care for. While it's great to see them getting more work, I'm telling myself I need to be more selective now rather than just buying things on impulse.

Surprisingly no..its entirely on the art style and setting/genre of the otome now that i think about it

Although it doesn't necessarily have an impact, if a game I'm playing features a particular voice actor, I'll most likely choose that character's route...

Katsuyuki Konishi is the main reason I got into otome games. He does an amazing job in lads like Sylus, I just love his work!!!! (#^.^#)

Absolutely as the va casting is usually the thing that pique my interests about something. I started many games because Furukawa Makoto is in it and as a cold/tough guy character.

The answer is yes. Actually, this applies not only to games but also to anime—if my favorite voice actors are in a show, I'll make a point of watching it.

Not really, while I do like some VAs, I'm more drawn in by the setting, premise, and sometimes art lol

Not really, but when I'm playing otome game and hear the voices , I started feeling that I recognized the voice, it wasn't unfamiliar, i discovered who's VA so i fell for the Male lead more

I think I am in the minority, but most of the time I actually don't like voice acting and turn them off in the options, because I prefer to imagine the characters' voices as I see fit.

mmm, id say about 50/50? idm if a game doesnt have any vas i recognize because i only like vas because of the characters they voice. but if it does, id be like, "OMGGGG IM ROMANCING (maybe a character from this non-romance anime/game)"

oh man, when I first started playing otome games years ago, I didn't know any of the VAs. Over time I started recognizing them, and I was so surprised when I realized one of them also voiced a character in an anime I used to watch. I was like, "OOOH, I LOVE THIS VA!" Sadly, he rarely did otome games.

After that, every time I watched an anime I'd be like, "Wait... have I heard this VA before?" Nowadays I don't really pay attention to VAs as much, though. So i wouldn't really say it influences me anymore.
