Do people like console games ported to pc?

Yes, since I only have PC, and don't have a console at all and sometimes emulator don't really work to me. I hope the developer port more otome in PC.

As nice as it is to play on a console because of the convenience and portability, I'm always thrilled when otome games are ported to PC. I don't have a console yet, so PC is my only way to play them for now.

Sort of depressing if it's not in Japanese too or a toggle option between languages. Reminds me of the situation with mangagamer's bl releases.

I'm kinda neutral on it. If a otome game has a switch and PC version, I always buy the switch version unless it was originally a 18+ game lol. I only really use my PC for indie otome, 18+, and only available for PC games.

I assume you played Koezaru wa Akai Hana?

I prefer playing on consoles because I can play games even while lying in bed!
Of course, if new elements are added to the PC version, I think I should try it haha.

There are tons of great games on the Switch, but I don't have one — PC is just way more convenient for me.

Yep . I also only played the 18+ version of Yoshiwara Higanbana and Chou no Doku. I felt that to me the game would not be the same without the original scenes. The older 18+ games was intense lol

I like when games are ported to PC (or any platform) in general because I think that makes it more accessible for people, so I definitely like when otome games get PC ports (which seems to be not that common, unfortunately). I'm fine with playing on console, but it's convenient to have a PC version as well so I wish it was a more common practice. I feel like it would allow for more people to discover and experience the otome genre, because right now, so many games are just locked to one platform (and in many cases, old consoles people may not be able to obtain) which isn't that accessible. There's of course emulation, but the games would still be optimized for console so it would still be better to have an official PC port. I only hope that if there is, it's actually optimized for the PC properly.

Yesss more platforms is always a good thing imo, I don't own any consoles rn, so PC ports are often the only way I can play console games without emulation. Plus text hooking and other translation tools are much easier to use on PC, which helps a lot with translating JP otome games!

Yeah, I prefer PC over consoles. Idk why I never really been into consoles. PC is just more versatile, and you can always upgrade the specs later instead of buying a new device. While consoles will never stop from investing a new version. Eventually, game companies have to catch up focusing on new released and older system get left behind.

PC is just better than consoles, it has less portability but can play anything old or new, with texthooker to translate. Also some consoles are stricter when it comes to 18+ content, and if done without care, the story can be lost in porting to console (like Chou no Doku).
