Do game spoilers (plot, CG, etc.) bother you? Or do you prefer seeing them?

When I was younger I actually used to actively look for spoilers especially for games I couldn't get just yet because I was impatient lol

Recently though I've been having fun getting into games with as little information as possible and playing them on my own pace. I'm not on social media much so thankfully I don't really have to worry about accidentally coming across spoilers and even if I did it wouldn't bother me THAT much since I don't have the full context of the scene.

For me, it really depends on the situation. I don't like major plot spoilers, especially the big twists that are only revealed at the very end. Once you know them, it totally ruins the experience of playing through the earlier parts. But I'm fine with other minor spoilers that aren't too serious.

Im generally ok with spoilers because sometimes I like to look for spoilers as well to prepare myself. If I really wanna avoid spoilers, I would just make sure I dont actively search anything up and it works for me haha

I actually look for spoilers right from the start! That's because I want to know the ending of the story first. For me, the real enjoyment lies in the journey leading up to that conclusion. Even if I start a game without knowing the ending, I get so curious about what happens next that I end up immediately checking walkthrough sites😅

I'm currently playing Ken ga kimi and it has a lot of cgs so if I accidentally saw one or two non spoiler ones I wouldn't mind ! A lot of cgs are really wonderful, same with Hana awase ! But they should be properly tagged etc so no one gets accidentally spoiled against their will

I actually quite like being spoiled, because it lets me know how the story unfolds ahead of time — it feels reassuring. After all, if it turns out to be a heart-wrenching plot, I can avoid it. Otherwise, spending time watching a story that just makes me feel bad would make me pretty angry, haha.

I like to know if a game contains any potentially triggering topics, but that's about it. I try my best to avoid spoilers, especially CGs.

I have the memory of a goldfish, especially if I've never played that game before. Reading spoilers isn't going to ruin my experience, because... I'll forget them anyway when I play the game.

I wonder if that's a good thing or a bad thing lol but I don't mind spoilers that much.

I prefer playing games without seeing any spoilers beforehand, as it makes the experience much more enjoyable.
However, I don't mind spoilers for games I have no intention of playing.

I dislike specific plot point spoilers but I am okay with secret LI spoilers since I want to know who I can romance. Also because I often use walkthroughs and find out anyway.

When I go into the game, I want to be semi-blind like I want to have a vague feeling of what to expect (eg. fluffy or angsty) and who can I capture. CG spoilers are also a big no, since its best to experience the CG with the corresponding scene.

Not at all. In fact it's helpful. Like when I used to play MysMe back then & want to unlock the other route such as the bad ends 🫣

I don't mind spoliers. I feel they help me think about if I want to spend time even playing that game. I also know I tend to be forgetful, so even if someone tells me something I may have forgotten it.

Same here! I really enjoy reading spoilers!
In my point of view, I think a game won't be fun if you can tell everything in spoilers, so I would read all the reviews and spoilers before I start a game to see if I'm still looking forward to play
And those passed the test(?) are my favourite all the time♥
My friends think I was too weird but they are happy to have someone to read those stuffs and help screening lol

I've been playing Uchronia lately, and... there was a side character who caught my eye because he was so handsome, so I wanted to see if he might be romanceable in the fandisc. I looked up his name on Google, only to have Google's AI spoil his true identity from the final route for me. (You know how Google now shows you AI-generated answers when you search for things?) I literally just searched his name... I never expected to get spoiled like that, and it honestly left me feeling so deflated.

I'm not usually too sensitive about spoilers, since I sometimes look them up myself when I want to know more about a game before starting it. But when a major spoiler catches you completely off guard in a situation like this, it's hard not to feel disappointed and a little empty inside...

I avoid spoilers as much as humanly possible. I'm extremely sensitive to them. This is especially true for visual novels, they rely heavily on recurring character sprites, and even budget-heavy titles only feature around a dozen CGs, while smaller games might only have a handful. So having even a single one spoiled feels like a huge loss.

I don't even want sprite spoilers. Since I love admiring character designs and outfits while playing, I prefer discovering them organically as I go, rather than seeing them beforehand.
