Running in compatibility mode does not resolve the issue.

Even if I copy it directly to HDD without using setup.exe and apply the patch or crack, I still get the error (lc2.m not found).

pc.m has been updated and now VN runs smoothly on windows 10 x64.
The cause of your error with setup.exe startup look for in your antivirus application.
Because setup.exe is 32 bit, not 16 bit (so that your operating system can't run it).

I got this VN running yesterday on windows 10 22h2 x64.

This issue has been going on for months and still not resolved, so I requested a DL version.

I was looking for a solution to run this VN from 2022 (Nov 6, 2022 had to publish a solution that required windows XP SP3 - https://www.anime-sharing.com/threa...ndtrack-cd-maxi-cd-update-1-03-crack.1240300/).

Yesterday found a solution under windows 10 x64.

The cause of exe behavior was described to you by me (tip: trust microsoft antivirus more)

Hmm. I checked again, and the CD version doesn't work on my system.
There is no antivirus software installed and Windows Defender real-time protection is disabled.

The same problem occurred with "Hanamaru!", but in that case I copied it directly to the HDD and rewrote the registry, and it started up.

If you are able to install it, you may be able to start it if you send me the registry information (.reg).

Especially for you I installed on Windows XP and copied the registry (Regedit versions XP and 10 are the same) and everything works without redoing.

If you are not working because of the registry, sorry it is your fault as a user of your operating system (you are responsible for the cleanliness of the registry).

Thank you. I tried it, but it didn't work.
When I run ricotte.exe, it displays a white screen with an error message and closes.

Since setup.exe cannot be executed due to an error, I wanted to start the game from ricotte.exe that I copied directly to the HDD without using setup.exe, so I needed the registry information.
If do not use setup.exe, the registry information will be empty.
In my collection of over 1000 games, there are three games that won't start, and this game is one of them, so it's been bothering me for a long time.

The CD version may not work due to a problem with my environment.
I was able to start all the games on FANZA GAME that support Windows 10, so I'll patiently wait for someone who has the FANZA GAME version to upload it.

Expect + and independently DRM hack in VN (hackers will charge you at least 10.000-20.000 dollars for breaking the protection (because the protection of the store is based on their server equipment)).

The usual substitution of DL files for the disk version doesn't always work.

I have about 7000 VNs and not a single case like this (+ a bunch of different options to run old apps).

If on Ryzen 7950 and Nvidia 4090 VN all Work, the problems are no longer in the hardware - but in not keeping a good eye on the operating system (the portable version you have in Conversations).

If the portable version won't work for you either = time to reinstall your operating system.

After checking the data differences, it was found that there was a problem with the CCD mounting tool.
I mounted the CCD using the following tools, but some of the data was corrupted.

I think this issue is because of the old Alpha-ROM protection or similar protection methods.
Old Alpha-ROM protection uses the duplicate sectors to detect whether it's copy disc or not. In detail, the different result will be returned when loading duplicate sectors, whether reading sectors forward or reverse.
Some Alpha-ROM CCD files have the both of duplicate sectors, so it needs to use the disc image mounting tool that handles duplicate sectors properly, such as Daemon Tools Lite.

I found that if I mounted the CCD using daemontools, copied the data on the disk to my HDD, and used that to recreate the ISO file, I was able to mount, install, and run the game using standard Windows functionality.

I hate Daemon Tools, so after I convert all my CD images to ISOs I plan to uninstall Daemon Tools and use the standard Windows functionality.

Completely abandoning Daemon Tools is a mistake.
And you can't save disks with music tracks to ISO. (and old VN have immediately on the disk music tracks).
I have 3 other programs for working with images besides Daemon Tools.

Regarding the issue of music tracks, there is an issue with old games not being able to play CD-DA, so I have extracted only the music data and am using _inmm.dll.

The inmm option does not work for all VNs.

In the irregular cases where inmm.dll cannot be used, we are rewriting the binaries individually or looking for patches.

Is there a way to make it compatible with all VN?

If you have the extra money, people....
Cost of writing engine level coders, engineers, etc. = to me much more expensive than using Daemon Tools, UltraISO, Nero Burning ROM.
