Technically, it's not "only" an otome VN, cause the player's gender isn't specified and we have both male and female love interests, which is great for me (how many yuri\girlxgirl vn with strong narrative do we actually have? not so much, eventually). But i'm not that kind of person who plays vn's for "romance options". It's just some kind of "pleasant-but-not-necessary addition" to the interesting story. And this novel's story is quite intriguing, hope it'll turn out to be this "unknown indie masterpiece" thing.

Agree with your point about GxG, personally find it intriguing how various developers choose to flesh them out... especially with "darker" themes overall. The diversity in characters and story routes just adds to the overall appeal.
