Cygames caught using ChatGPT

According to AnimeNewsNetwork article there were evidence that the german subs for the anime Necronomico and the Cosmic Horror Show used ChatGPT for the translation. The english subs were no better either since it had multiple errors. For your information Cygames supplied the subs while Crunchyroll streams the Anime without bothering to quality check the subs so shame on both of these companies!

Nowhere does it says that Cygames was the one who used Chatgt and I dunno where you got that they're the one's who subtitled the show.

Especially when subbing the show is flat out Chrunchyroll's job and they're known to have subpar to bad subs.

That's not really evidence actually. Especially since the whole url has crunchyroll first and the site has multiple shows from cygames, it's more a department they had for those shows internally that did this.

Because it's incredibly weird that any internal cygames production would base and use a site that is not theirs for any work.

The guy who looked at the data sees what you saw and saw cygames first and immediately went: "Oh Cygames themselves did it!" When looking at the url data makes that deduction clear suspect.

Another update according to this article It seems like Crunchyroll is investigating their third-party vendor for using AI subs. I guess they don't want to disclose who the third-party vendor is

This is kinda funny to me cause, while even if this isn't just a smokescreen to makes themselves not fully responsible for the fumble; it still shows them incompetent that no one thought to preview the subs given to them?

Honestly it just paints them as, said: incompetent and just as bad: lazy.

Maybe their request for more budget of translators was denied, because of lower cost of third-party vendor.

Being cheap only works when there's (even just a smidgen of) some quality to the service they're using. This is not a case here....

And considering that Crunchyroll's subs overall are terrible, this not even a surprise anymore.
