Question can't open threads

hello,
i'm not very active here but i check for some games from time to time.
today though i cant open any threads in the Otome Games, Artbooks & CDs section. i don't know if this means i did something and was blocked from that area or if there is an issue with the site? i didn't get any emails and all my alerts here are gone

You do need to stop making up numbers. I never specify any numbers. To begin with, where did you get that number 200 posts from? If it's coming from me saying to attain a certain rank, then surely for the rank. I never say to access Otome Group, requires 200 posts.



Not really no, I cannot disclose the true reason, but if you're like 1-2-3 lurker, then yes. Everyone else who had a genuine interest in this community will have a fair chance.

Let me put it this way: while the Trusted and Elite member rank is an assured way to have access, it's not the only condition.

That said, I think I didn't stress this enough: if you do not have access now, wait for a few more days?

Did I make that clear enough? Hell I never even say the cutoff date but if you have an account before you read this message, you're pretty much well ahead.

I understand everyone frustration but it's not that as bad as it looks.

Edit: Let me put in a small FAQ:

1. Do you need the badge Trusted/Elite Member?
A. While having the badge is an assurance to get access, it's not the only condition.

2. What do I do to get access?
A. Do nothing, Wait. Don't Spam. Or just enjoy some doujinshi, some voice drama. You are free to complain here, I do read everyone's complaint, it is encouraging.

3. I'm shy, I'm introverted, I'm a lurker, are you punishing me for being one?
A. No, while we cannot disclose the true reason behind. Also if you really don't have anything other than a profile, then sadly you are unlikely to qualify.

4. I'm belong to the number 3. and I absolutely didn't do anything, what do I do to get access?
A. You probably belong to the group we want to get rid of by accident. Either way, there's nothing you can do but to wait until everyone else get vetted.

5. I heard from someone else that I need X amount of posts to have access.
A. You need X amount of post to attain a rank, but those X amount of post doesn't mean you go in forum game and get that number, it would punish you instead.
It also had nothing to do with having access to Otome Game, read Question 1.

6. I see that I'm "New Member", am I qualified?
A. Most likely, if you are within registration date cut-off and as long as you're not agent zero (0).

So from what you wrote here, those of us who posted mostly in spam section cause they didn't know it will harm their progress but were told to for increase post count to reveal links, will still be able to up our rank but it will be just harder and not impossible? (at least I hope it will only be harder)

If you want the rank Trusted Member, yes, it will make it harder to attain it, but the difficulty fade over time as it is a tool to weed out people who want to game the system, not a genuine member who make mistake.

If you just want access to Otome Game Group, it doesn't hurt, nor help you accessing this group.

I don't have access and I know I only have 3 message, but I have 106 reactions from sharing a game. I just never saw a point in putting thank you on every game like most people do. I like the post as my thank you. I shared a game in the past though. Would this be enough to get access? I can't even see my own uploaded game post right now. Also, while I have anxiety about interacting with others, I wouldn't mind so much talking about otome games, but the otome game forum for discussions never seem to have much interaction. Maybe as otome game enjoyers we could talk there. Would that help our case?

I did mention as long as you're not 1-2-3 lurker, agent zero. I mean if you got like 3 posts or 0 post or have no interaction, you probably need to help yourself.



There are still waves 2, but if you do not interact with us at all, the rank maker cannot assign you a score.

Just to clarify, I asked 2 questions. Which one were you answering with most probably? The one about whether or not uploading a game would get me access or the one about holding otome discussions on the otome forum helping?

Most probably, it's not the only factor, but it's a positive score atleast.

I've figured out why you wasn't qualified for the first round. You should be in the first round the next time rank master run. It runs every 2 hours.

Complaining does help, I read everyone's complaint and try to accomodate.

Yes, same here about me posting in spam. I did it before I was aware of this change.

I understand the reasoning for this, but won't lie that it's frustrating I've potentially messed up my account doing what people suggested a few days ago. Of course, they didn't know either at the time. They were just saying what they did in the past.

Out of curiosity, would there be a way to post an announcement to the spam section, just so people won't make the same mistake as us? I ask because I did take a look at the spam section to see if there were any rules there before going to the "count to one million" thread I saw someone suggest. Maybe I missed something.

Well, I think they probably don't understand the issue:

If they want to attain the rank, then the spam section is not the way to go. Everyone here who got to Trusted Member and Elite Member certainly interacts with us more than just having 2000 counts to one million. If anything, it's a waste of time.

To begin with, it made no sense if you think you can count to a million and become trusted member that way. Surely all of the spam bots would have had 1 million trusted badge by now since the inception of ASF by making a bot and count to one million in a year.

If you genuinely want to get those rank, check out what our Trusted and Elite Member did... was it even hard?

Did you find a Trusted/Elite Member with 0 interactions? Or 1000 posts count to one million? Really?

If you truly want to become a Trusted or Elite Member, just don't count to one million. It's puzzling that you have the effort to count to one million like a true spam bot, but not doing it like a person would. I don't understand it.

If you still don't have access in wave one. I can say it with certainty it is not because you post in spam and forum games.

Wave two will come, and if you still don't have access after wave two, you probably need to figure it out.

I haven't posted a lot. I've just been active in the otome game request section. I've posted a few requests and have mostly tried helping others there. I've never spammed, though. I've been a member of this forum for 12 years but I've never felt the need to join conversations where I don't have anything meaningful to contribute, so I lurk and enjoy reading what other people are talking about instead. I've made a couple of posts in the Otome requests section but not much beyond that, because again, most people have said or contributed otherwise. You cannot say "we're not punishing lurkers" and then say directly after that "we want to get rid of lurkers". Furthermore, I joined this forum specifically for its Otome community, and I don't have much interest in the other segments of the forum. I'm asking this sincerely, if lurkers like myself are directly locked out of the community we joined for, how are we supposed to contribute meaningfully to rejoin the community in the first place?

Has this second wave rolled out? Because I am unfortunately still getting the same error, which is causing some confusion here. The wording in the FAQ implies that *no one* who lurks will ever get access at all, hence my reply.
