Its actually pretty sad. From the way he spoke, it seems like he got involved with a cult that made him become obsessed with "purifying" the heroine because related of his past (like he spoke about his mother and sister). But im not try to defending him, what he did was honestly really messed up.

And yeah, about the ending when the heroine was trying to take her own life, he tried to stop her, but he ended up killing her because of his PTSD. Its sooo heartbreaking. The heroine didnt deserve that, but aaaaaaa the drama was so intense and hit soo hard .
