Yes, the Switch is very convenient to play on. It's true you can play on a PC, but each time you play you have to open your laptop, open an emulator, and so on. Not to mention, sitting for a long time will be tiring. With the Switch, you can just open the console, lie down and play, roll around comfortably on your bed. It's just like playing on your phone.
Furthermore, another important factor is that not all games can be opened with emulators. I've seen quite a few game download topics with comments expressing that emulators were cracked when opening the game. And what if one day, Switch emulators disappear? Many popular emulators from the past are gone, like Yuzu.
Also, otome games aren't always simple; some games combine music and complex mini-games, making playing on an emulator a big problem. For example, I played Jack Jeanne on my Switch and sometimes couldn't even press the buttons fast enough, let alone on a PC. Not to mention that a PC needs a decent configuration to run those kinds of games smoothly.
Finally, if you're on a tight budget, you should buy the modded version. I find it quite cheap, costing around $200. It's even cheaper if you buy it from online groups. The only inconvenience is that you can't play online, but most otome games are offline (excluding gacha games, which I can play on my phone), so I don't see it as a real inconvenient.
