Assassin's creed 3 first impressions?

I am going to try this saturday. Not really big fan of endless assasin saga but still think that game not bad
I spoiled the game by watching a lot of streams, but I do have to admit that jumping through the environment (not town) is really smooth.
Although, when I was paying attention to the stream, there was a "oh...wow..." moment in the game where I remember saying "well crap... i just ruined it for myself..." haha. And that ending...
I just got it today and am tempted to try it out, but I kind of want to finish the two AC games after AC2, revelations and something else. I was watching the streams because I was really on the fence about buying it before completing the other two games, but my awesome sister (<3) surprised me with it today xD.

*in sequence(chapter) 8 at the moment* from what i see i think the sequence should not reach 15. perhaps it will end in 12 and or 13.
overall expectations: its good, but I think they need to put more side mission.

Since I don't really want to pay for western game anymore, both my PS3 and Xbox360 is powered CFW: not necessary to buy game and end up with a shitty one and I play them almost always sooner about a week than people without CFW/had to pay for the game.

Ah I see. I always wanted to do this for a few reasons, but there are a few games that come out that I just cannot stop myself from at least trying (and updating the firmware) like DarkSouls, RE6, AC3,etc.
Currently racing through brotherhood and revelations so I can play AC3!

As long as you don't play online, a CFW console let you play any game without any trouble, given that you burn the game correctly (Xbox360) or copy the game into PS3 and run it properly.
On Xbox360, once you have modded your DVD-Drive, it is permanently setup, a system update will not effect your ability to play copied disc.
On PS3, once you've installed a CFW, a copied game, given that it is patched, will no longer require your PS3 to be on the current system firmware. In fact, you will never be asked to update the system firmware.
You can get online with these console but it would risk having your console banned. A banned console won't be able to use Microsoft/Sony online service anymore (but you can still play games as usual)

[MENTION=3]Checkmate[/MENTION]; actually there's a new flashed firmware on the xbox, c4eva released it 4 months ago, you can play online with any xbox 360 out there, the only problem is that you need to patch all the xgd3 games with topology files. The good thing with this one is that updates do not affect it. So you can still play using burned dvds.
The flashed ps3 have fuckPSN, which is nice, it gives you access to all the content in the store for free. You can also play online. But You have to beware of updates.

You can now play burned DVDs online on the XBOX 360 without worrying about being banned.
The PS3 have fuckPSN which allows you to download every single damn thing in the PS store for free, run burned DVDs, and play online.
This is my point.
by the way, i'm actually playing AC3, it is slow, but the lore is soo beautiful, it reminds me somehow of TESV:Skyrim.

Actually, yes, there are still a chance to be banned. Unless you have to go through a very hassle process, by reverting your DVD_Drive back to original firmware before doing any system upgrade.
True, I haven't heard anyone getting banned by PSN yet so iono. Chances are, yes, you can still get banned, they just didn't do it.
On the same note, Call of Duty Black Ops II is out (and leaked and what not, my friend is playing it right now) but I don't feel like playing it on console. I'll wait for PC version.

I don't think i'll ever try the cfw on my ps3 haha. I actually have a modified firmware for the dvd drive on my xbox360 because you didn't need to buy extra tools (ps3 is the same if you didn't update and can just update to a cfw, but I have long since updated my ps3 haha).
Anyway, I finally finished AC2 Brotherhood and Revelations. I finally started on AC3 and am loving it. The new control scheme took a bit to get used to but i'm loving the new counter animations. Although it does have some slowdowns that I have noticed. I think when its released on the pc, I might purchase that and have another go at it.
But man, Haythem is such a badass. A man never without a plan. I went around murdering all the redcoats because I was trying to get used to the combat (no longer r2 for auto deflect and x for counter with the safety net of deflecting an attack if you press counter too late). At first I thought the change was really unnecessary, but its starting to grow on me.
The climbing and running has become a lot smoother... sometimes, unnaturally smooth as they kinda float around haha. It was more noticable during the desmond tutorial at the beginning where his wall clinging/running animation didn't match the direction desmond was moving. He kinda snapped to convenient ledges a couple of times.
I also did run into a glitch or two. One was when haythem kept of switching between combat/noncombat stances and I couldn't really do anything. The other was when I was dropping down to kill a deer and went through the floor.
But all in all, I'm having a blast!
