Are you a completionist?

Never completed an otome in my whole life, i only play the characters that i get attached to and i can never choose options that would make them have a sad ending
I just want to be happy with the LI that i like

It is not a priorty for me, if I enjoy a game a lot I may try to complete it, but mostly I only play the routes that catch my attention

Yes, 99 out of 100 times I prefer to get all endings and CGs, the only exception is if the game is really really bad and if a certain ending is too difficult to get and not so important

If a game really isn't clicking with me, I'll sometimes put it down and move on to another one... but I still keep track of how far I've gotten so I can come back and 100% it someday! I usually try to get both the best and bad endings for every LI. That said, I don't go out of my way to read every single bit of dialogue or try every choice, and I often don't bother getting mid-route death endings if they aren't technically bad endings, haha.

I have to get all CGs/endings/achievements otherwise I genuinely feel uncomfortable 😭 It feels like I didn't even actually play the game if I didn't 100% it.
I am a huge completionist though, I am way more inclined to purchase a game if it has achievements support on Steam & PlayStation.

It does suck sometimes when I force myself to play through a game I don't enjoy, but to be fair I have enjoyed a lot of otome way more upon completion! Especially when there is a secret final route that reveals a lot of lore behind the story and characters. I feel like this is especially the case for Otomate titles, I only think the story is actually good when I do the final route. I wish I could enjoy the game the whole way through though lol.

I'd say so; I like to see everything a game has to offer. I think the only game where I didn't complete everything was CupiPara, because I just couldn't be bothered to go through the other endings lol. Sometimes there are also love interests whose routes I don't really want to play, but I force myself to do them for the sake of 100% completion

No, I often lose all my enjoyment for the game when I try to complete everything 100%. If it happens naturally, great, but if not I'm not forcing myself to sit through boring/uncomfortable stuff

I feel like I haven't truly experienced a game in its entirety unless I've completed every challenge or seen every ending. another reason is that I play more thoroughly, just in case there are any interesting events I might have missed.

I have more to say about the progression bar.
I said I'm a completionist, but some games are not kind that it doesn't have or show the progression bar. In that situation, I do my best to complete whole the game searching wikis or videos. I think this make some games disenjoy and make me burned out.

I don't feel at ease unless I complete everything.
At the same time, I really struggle with bad endings.
For some reason, bad endings tend to get seared into my mind and won't go away.
I absolutely love happy endings.

I am a completionist if there a 3 character I'm not interested in it might as well skip half the story I could tolerate only 1 or 2

I always try to. I've been in that position too, where I get burnt out and end up playing multiple games at once. I'm definitely biased toward the LIs I like, so I'll always try to complete their routes to the fullest. As for the other characters, I'll give their routes a try, but if I'm not enjoying them as much, I'll just stop and move on to the next game.

Sometimes though, after some time has passed, I'll get curious and go back to finish those routes anyway, even if they're not my favorite LI, I'll do it just in it for the plot. So i think its possible to hop games and still be a completionist !

I used to be. I even feel guility about the half completed routes but now i'm slowly realising that you can't just push yourself through, if you do it just becomes another thing you have to 'do' and it just stops being sometime you like doing.

I am a completionist so I try to 100% everything. Not just the gallery, but also in terms of looking at all unseen text, so I pick the other choices as well to see what happens. It just feels like I haven't completed a game unless I look at everything (and it also feels more respectful to the creators to do so) so I feel compelled to do so no matter what.

But even so, there are many times when I'm not that interested in the story and don't really feel like playing, so I end up procrastinating and leaving something unfinished (even if I tell myself I'll eventually get back to it). So even though I am a completionist, my completion rate isn't actually that high... Still, I feel like a game isn't finished unless I 100% it, so even for past games where I have basically read the entire main story (but haven't looked at or collected everything), I consider them closer to indefinitely on-hold rather than completed.
