action keys not working on Wolf RPG based games

Z, spacebar, enter... doesn't seem to give off any respons I've tried pushing every other key in existence, nothing... all the other keys seem to work just fine ( f4,f12, arrow keys etc.) anyone have a solution, like some sort of codeline where I can change the key bindings maybe?
