A game that leaves a deep impression

Me too! Sorry I didn't reply yesterday, I've been busy. Unfortunately, classic otome series not r18 not always a lot emotional scenes, romantic or hot content, but from those that I liked and remembered: Sympathy Kiss, Lover Pretend, Olympia Soiree. Games with an unusual narrative system and route system: Even If Tempest and Neon Clash Echoes of the Lost. And of course there is very beautiful and emotional: 9 R.I.P. and Illusion of Itehari. A real find for me: Jack Jeanne, but the rhythm system in the game may not be to everyone's liking
Haha, it's okay~I checked the reviews of these games and they're all great works. I've played 9RIP and it's pretty good! There are a few other games that I find very interesting in terms of themes. I saw a few games that are cultivation exploration games, and I feel that my cultivation is not very strong haha, but if the plot is good, I can play and see!

I support everything that has been said above about Hakuouki. Like many others, I was most deeply affected by them. Especially Hijikata. When I saw his first CG, where he threatens Chizuru with a sword, the chemistry of my brain changed forever, and as the story progressed, the impact only intensified. His route was the first and only one where I cried throughout all my gaming experiences. I still can't get over how handsome he is and how beautiful his story is. Harada-kun with his pretty scar and the kuudere Saito-kun are also my eternal favorites.
And then Yurika happened. I'm not generally a fan of old fairy tales and the game's aesthetic, but the plot... The plot is truly magnificent. One of the best plot in otome games for me. I couldn't tear myself away from the game, and with each new episode I loved Yurika more and more. Plus, the game has a silly localization.
And Norn9. I don't like sci-fi, so I thought I would drop it, but this game blew me away with its soundtrack and the relationships between NanamixAkito and NanamixRon. The NanamixRon pairing became my Roman Empire.
Ron is my fav :D

It's always historical genre of otome games. Do i even need to state the reason? they're BASED ON REAL PERSON WITH REAL HISTORICAL BACKGROUND THAT END UP THE SAME FATE JUST LIKE THEIR IRL COUNTERPART.

Otome games likes Genroh, Hakuouki and BYAKKO is leave a deep impressions in me with BYAKKO that i ended up 100% completion last year even though i avoid bad ending like the plague.

Yes, NORN9 and Hakuouki are unforgettable works, and the music songs and plot in the game are very meaningful~

I was deeply impressed with Nameless - The One Thing You Must Recall! It's a Korean otoge by the developers of Mystic Messenger.

A long time ago I had an obsession with BJDs. I was just starting to read VNs in English back then. Suddenly, I stumbled upon Nameless. I literally fell in love with this game on first glance, because the art was really nice, and the plot about the dolls suddenly becoming alive felt like the perfect kind of story to me. I gave it a chance, and it was soooo good. Although the game turned out to be way darker than I expected, it served as a pleasant surprise. It made me want to try reading different otome games, and here I am now lol.
Korean style games are also good~The game will catch your eye at first sightദ്ദി˶˃ ᵕ ˂ )✧

Toraware no Paruma and Toraware no Paruma Refrain are both games who touched me emotionally . I self inserted too hard and in the end I cried . There is just something very intimate between you and the 3 LIs
I can't explain it because you have to experience it yourself . Sadly it's not available in english so I used auto translation and my poor JLPT N5 level it was hard but worth it !

it's been so many years since i played it for the first time but a game i think about often and always end up wishing to replay is ayakashi gohan ! the writing and story of the game makes you feel so warm inside similar to having like a good bowl of soup in winter and i ended up crying a lot while playing it T^T overall 10/10 experience for me because i find the environment to be really soothing and filled with so much love and honestly i haven't found another game that has been able to replicate that specialness for me !

I'd totally recommend Arabians Lost~.
The heroine is a princess from a nation built on crime.
She wants to live an ordinary life, so she makes a deal with the emperor and empress:
If she can't earn 10 million G (the in-game currency) within 25 days,
she has to marry someone chosen by her parents.

All of the characters are different types of villains—
an assassin, a smuggler, a compulsive gambler, and so on.
They're not written as one-dimensional, trope-driven villains.
The game goes into great detail about their values, how they live their lives,
and the personal aesthetics and codes they each hold.
What I especially love is that they don't just magically turn into "good people" when they fall in love—
it's really refreshing.

While the psp version has the most complete content, I'm not a big fan of its coloring style.
I personally miss the PC / PS2-era visuals—they just fit the world and overall atmosphere way better.
And I also wouldn't recommend playing the later sequel, Arabian's Doubt.
Aside from the very short ex-boyfriend route,
the other routes were clearly not written by the original scenario writer from the first game.
The characters feel really different—their personalities and behavior are noticeably off.

You said it very well! I heard about it a long time ago, it's a very classic game! However, due to personal reasons, I have not been able to play, so I am not familiar with the content inside.
You introduced it in great detail, and in this game, it feels like everyone is a villain. I am very interested! I think the plot will be very exciting! It suits my taste very well! Thank you! I will go play!
If you have any other exciting games, you can recommend them to me. Thank you!

Yesss the Hakuouki love is so real, I was crying every other chapter. The routes were so nicely done and bittersweet, I wish I could go back in time and experience it all over again. I got friends who only watched the anime and adore it as well. Gotta admit, it's one of the best otoge adaptations and I'm happy it received a lot of attention anime-wise.

Gotta mention Choudoku. I can't talk much about it without spoiling the game so I'll keep it simple heh. When you near the end of it you start to realize it threw hints your way the whole time but you just never noticed. There's stuff you only realize in the very end of the story and parallels that just have you thinking damn this all makes sense now. Aromarie please come back with another game...

Oooh I've never played a QuinRose game before, Arabians Lost and Crimson Empire are the ones I've been eyeing the most. The characters sound really intriguing based on your description, I hope I can play it once I clear my backlog a bit~

For me, without a doubt, it's Koezaru wa Akai Hana. I've gone back and finished it about three times. I loved the protagonist, and the endings for each character left a very strong impression on me, especially Naran's bad ending.

I highly recommend it; if you don't like it, there's also a censored version.
Another character who left a really big mark on me, and because of that I always go back to playing, is Clear from DRAMAtical Murder. It was the first Yaoi game I played, maybe that's why it left such a strong impression on me. For a long time, my alarm clock was his jellyfish song.

Thank you for your recommendation! I have played this before~it's really fun. The script is written very well, and I really like the art style and music. I have also collected his songs specifically! During that time, I often played songs in a loop!

I like TOYA, NORU, SUREN, URU! I plan to play again in the future when I have time:alice_waai:

Shinigami to Shoujo

It's hard to recommend it, this game is famous for extreme amount of text, nonexistent sweet moments and depressing vibes in general. But the art and story are great, and the music is one of the best not only in otome games. The only downside is that they switched openings in switch version (pun not intended).

Played it only once, will probably never have enough moral strength to replay it, but that one time was an unforgettable experience

although there are such a big amount of games that are impressive and wonderful i'd say taisho x alice is definitely one of those that left such a BIG love in my heart preasonally!

the story is so interesting and suspensive: it focuses on different fairytales and shows us male lis as the heroes of them (ex. cinderella, red riding hood, snow white etc.) and you slowly unravel the tales in every route and the final part just sticks everything of the prologue and every route together and brings tears to your eyes (well i cried)

there are 4 parts of the game (but it was compiled in one full game i think) with two of love interests in each part and the forth part is the true route as i'd call it

and of course if we are talking about otome we can't let the mc out - she is definetely one of the most hilarious, strong, smart (well sometimes she can be a little bright but it's not irritating at all i think it's like she does this on purpose) funny and open!

came for the seiyuu cast and love interests - stayed for my baby yurika (mc's name) and how beatiful (and funny but at the same time dark) this game is

they say if you make game with everything and for everyone - you make game for no one but in this case with amount of twists, storylines, character dynamics and everything mixed - this game deserves a praise and attention

(and yeah as a pc gamer myself it's rare to find pc otomes that are translated and have nice quality of production so it's a win in my top of deep impression games too :giggle:)

I have played this game before~Five parts connected together form a complete plot! The characters in the game strategy are all from fairy tales, giving a different feeling! The art style of the game is very exquisite, and I really like the songs in the game. Very healing!:akazukin_thanks:

Experiencing both Crimson Empire and Crimson Royale is what makes the story feel truly complete.
This game holds an irreplaceable place in my heart.
Every route shows a different form of love, and it's deeply moving.
About Michael, having played his route in Crimson Royale really matters for understanding the character.

The Vita ver. only includes Crimson Empire, while Crimson Royale is only on PC.
The PC ver. gameplay systems are cumbersome—
I get that they were trying to add more features, but it didn't quite hit the mark.
That said, none of the CGs or daily dialogue were cut in the pc ver.

The Vita ver. switched to a new artist,
and since the original had such a massive amount of CGs, some were cut.
The original art style is just too deeply ingrained in my mind,
so the newer ver. feels like it's lost some of its sharp, distinctive edge.

Besides removing the poorly implemented battle system, the visit system was also removed,
which means the emotional buildup from visits and conversations with the characters is lost.
I'm not sure if the dialogue from the visit system is still scattered throughout story events like in the Alice series Heart no Kuni (Vita ver.) —I couldn't find any info,
but I still prefer the pacing of the original visit system.

I also like the character visiting system. The early games of QuinRose had such a system. You gradually learned about the characters through daily conversations, and the game music was also very pleasant. Mahoutsukai to Goshujin-sama impressed me a lot. The original game system was very complicated, but at least I quite enjoyed this cultivation gameplay.

(I also used a translation tool, hoping the expression is fairly accurate.)

Have you ever played a game that left a deep impression on you, and at some point, remembered the experience of playing that game again?

(Let me share my experience first.
I watched Hakuoki anime a long time ago.The songs in anime are beautiful, but also sad. Each character has a unique personality, and in the end, I cried for several days because of the ending, feeling very sad in my heart. So much so that I won't watch it again in the future, and I don't even dare to listen to too much of the music inside. Later, I came into contact with otomegame and played it on PSP. I thought to myself that the ending of the game might be slightly better than the ending of the anime. After opening the game, I was still attracted by the character plot depicted in the game. The game plot is great, and I have gained a deeper understanding of the characters. The ending of the game made up for my regrets in the anime, but there are still some characters whose endings are regrettable. But I will always remember the shinsengumi members under the cherry blossom tree!)

Same. Anime Hakuoki leaves a deep impression on me. I cried a lot and after that stop watch/read any josei and shojo for couple years. And i started reading my least favorite genre.:sneaky: Opened new gates for myself :ROFLMAO: But Hakuoki game i love ( music and all charaсters).
