I was washing dishes a little while ago and left the music on my phone on shuffle. Since I much prefer listening to game soundtracks to any other type of music, it was playing game soundtracks, and among them, the common battle theme from Final Fantasy XIII started playing, and right after that, Subaru's theme from Diabolik Lovers came on. I found it funny because the two are very similar, look:
I wanted to post this in someone's thread who had talked about otome game music that resembles other music, but I couldn't find it :/ Anyway, I thought it was cool that they both sound alike, it just accentuated the way I see Subaru. Before, his soundtrack reminded me of anger and melancholy with the guitar and vocals along with the organ playing; I had completely disregarded the violin amidst the sonic chaos XD It makes sense that it sounds like the battle music from FF XIII since it gives off an RPG hero vibe, kind of indicating that Subaru isn't a bad person, and anyone who played his route knows that despite everything, he's kind compared to the others there (人 •͈ᴗ•͈)
