You play as Michael Ilgner, a German WWII pilot who gets his plane sucked into a strange vortex. He finds himself in the world of Quintia, a fantasy land filled with monsters, beautiful women, and a huge war. Being a soldier, Michael takes it upon himself to fight Quintia's war and free the people from their monstrous oppressors. He never wanted to fight in WWII anyway, so he's more than happy to fight for Quintia.
Michael travels all over Quintia in his Me 109, The Love Machine. He meets all kinds of people, frees villages from tyrannical monsters, an is hailed as the savior of the land by those who believe in him. He even attracts the attention of two beautiful women who both aid him along the way. Sure beats getting shot at by allied planes, right?
