I've not really played any detective otomes so I'd say fantasy, slice of life and then historical.

I would pick fantasy > detective > slice-of-life. I prefer when is medieval theme includes magic or knights, my knight in shining armor

As closer to reality as possible tbh, I don't know why but fantasy just bores me. Well, making real life scenarios sound appealing is part of the challenge for the writer in a way.
