sorry for asking a baka question but, i cant seem to install the game correctly. It keeps missing the character portraits everytime. I even used the setupcall.exe in the torrent but the result is still the same. Anyone know what's the problem is?

Not quite understand the problem you're facing... Please take and post a screenshot showing the problem in question here.

as you can see in the picutre, there is no text nor character, only the voice and background are playing, plus some error messages. I've tried to redownload the torrent, install using applocale... but this keeps happening.

Not sure what caused this, but you may try to:

- Reinstall the game again in a folder with alphanumeric characters only; and/or
- Also run the game with AppLocale/Locale Emulator/any other locale-changing tool that works

Do you have "Format" set to "Japanese (Japan)" and "Location" set to "Japan" in the regional settings of the control panel of Windows?

wow it worked! my location was set to japan already but i didnt think the "Format" setting matter. The problem was solved after i changed the format to japan.
