i have also played it with demontools and had no worries did je have your locale and yime zone on japan
if that isn't it than i dont know either

To make it even more complicated the games 1, 2 and 3 were not released in chronological order, Technically Zutto! Josou de Haramasete which came out third is the prequel to Josou de Haramasete and Motto Josou de Haramasete, dealing with the story of the previous generation of characters. I am not sure what the plot of the fourth one is yet.

I believe it is the one called Josou de Haramasete Gaiden ~Kako wa Yuuyami Iro no Shoujo to Tomo ni~
