The game won't start after I clicked the desktop icon. It just opens a small window with some japanese words and just sits there like that. The problem might lie in mecha_con_srp because after NoDVD Patch, that file doesn't open anything but just makes my CPU go to the max.

try grab the text from the error window by using a tool like winspy++ , so you can use a translator.

the windows 8 patch was release 5 days ago so no one released nodvd and the problem that you are getting is also on the website but they haven't given any solution to fix it

The patch [NoDVD Patch] [110408] [onomatope] めちゃ婚！.rar it not serves neither for Windows 8,1 or Windows 10 , the solution is to apply first the patch MechaCon_win8x64patch.rar , we apply this another patch Patcher-Build20121001.zip to the files mecha_con_start.exe and mecha_con_srp.exe ; with this the game was working without DVD.
