Disregard the above. It seems I opened my mouth before I was sure what was going on.

As stupid_army believed, the game is a bit special and not in a good way. Long story short, the game is region locked. That means changing the Locale won't help when trying to run this sucker which is beyond stupid in my opinion and a big blunder on the part of studio. No wonder they vanished after making one title.

One of two ways to run this thing is to install a JAPANESE OS[Windows made for Japan specifically] in tandem with your current OS and then install the game on it. Tricky and invasive.

Second one, and this is my recommended one, is to go for a VMware kind of software and install a virtual OS on your current OS. You still need a Japanese OS to be installed but unlike the first option, this one is far less dangerous if you are an amateur novice dealing with OS installations and drive partitioning. Go for a Windows XP OS like this one which is quite light and works perfect for tasks like these. Tested the method personally and worked flawlessly.

Hopefully I never want to end up looking for a title that is region locked. A big pain in the ass those are to run.
