If my reading of Katakana is correct, it looks like I'm missing some kind of codec, would you happen to know which one the game is talking about? I can open the game and run it, but the actual animations outside of menu options are not appearing for me.

Found a link that offered a solution for Windows 7 but I'm currently running Windows 8, so I'm not sure what to do here.
